Spoke with many in the car buying market who were turned off from Ford's "obsession" with drain/oversize front air dams. Looks like a giant mouth.

By contrast, other makers (like European) have larger grilles but I think incorporate it better.

Keen to see the FH final product though as I am interested in purchasing.
Yep, those other makers do it so much better.

Based on the teaser pic, it has a rounder looking grille like an AC cobra or something.

You are right, that thing is absolutely and unequivocally hideous !!!!! However no doubt a LOT of gormless trendies will convince themselves of its superlative "beauty" - simply because it is a Lexus. (the Asian aesthetic & the "Emperors Clothes" syndrome)

Correct. FH is only going ahead because it HAS to. It's Ford's obligation based on the state and fed govt funding of $100 million a couple of years back.

New title, 2014 falcon sneak peak and any other discussion that comes along ... Ohh look a cat !

But seriously u'd reckon that by now the car mags would come up with a pretty good picture of what the fh will look like, I mean we know the basic new ford front will b grafted onto the fh so why bother covering it up anymore?
It can't hurt the fg II sales any more can it ?

The natural cynic in me tends to agree with you and what you've suggested concerns me but OTOH I've seen a LOT of advertising on N.Z. television for the Territory over thE weekend so they wouldn't be advertising if they didn't want to boost sales would they ! I guess we just have to wait and see how this all play's out.

Falcon's new shape looks very good, (anything that follows the XF Jaguar looks good IMO),...but will the refreshed Falcon still have the same stupidy high seating position and the same seats with soft as marshmellow bolsters ? How will the tech compare to the VF ? Are we getting adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring ?

I think one of the MAIN things that the Falcon desperately needs is auto down AND up on ALL windows.

If it at least has some of the tech my 06' BMW has, I actually might consider buying one as I'm looking to upgrade in the near future.

C'mon Ford, let the Falcon go out with a bang, as a true flagship model.

Agree on the seating position and seats. I'm 6"5 and whilst I'm used to the seating position I must say the commodores seats/seating position is much better than the Falcons, and has been for some years

Hopefully there is a little more emotion and pride in place down at BROADY and GEELONG to ensure we get a well thought out and well built LAST ever falcon. No FPV or GT or possibly no F6 either - but maybe the last G6 / G6E and Terri models will be much sought after , good looking and good performing cars. Looking forward to the evolution of the FG exterior , particularly the rear end - something to give the VF a real final battle in terms of street cred.

I know your more in the know than me but from the outside, i'm not sure I agree. The Territory is still a reasonable seller and it's probably worth Ford keeping production going to the end with combined Terri/Falc sales, unless they really are making a loss?

The also need a vehicle in the large SUV market to keep the momentum up in that market segment for the Terri replacement (Everest?) which could keep the well regarded/established Terri name going?

Falcon is a dirty word. Territory being an SUV has at least some appeal and if Ford bother doing any advertising of locally made products it is the Territory they choose to do it with.

keyless entry means you keep the key fob nearby (in your pocket etc) and push a button on the handle to unlock and lock the car. Then you get inside and push a button to start it.

As do pretty must most cars lol

But I like the fact that i got 5 different sets of keys floating in the bottom of my work bag, and i don't need to find the fob to unlock the car I'm currently driving. Proper keyless entry is a blessing when you're standing in the rain trying to find your remote fob! Lol

Remote means you need to press the key fob button, keyless means you just need to have the fob in your 'pocket' and the door opens when pull the handle.

Keyless start means you have the fob in your pocket and press the start button, no need to get a key and put it in the ignition and turn it.

Falcon has neither - as an example, a $17,000 Renault has both.

Well in the last 59 pages, how many "sneek peak" pictures have there been of the FH? Probably not enough enough to fill one page on the thread let alone 59.

I wonder if the FH will have auto up/down windows on ALL 4 windows? My $26,000 Focus does and thats from 2010.

All talk has been relevant to the 2014 falcon anyway...design, features, what the opposition have done etc...

This...I can't work out.

Why can't they work out to do it on all windows, when they go to the effort of one...

Guess its just a Fordisim lol
