what is your profile set at. mine is on 'aggresive' which gives speeds up to 24mbit. some of the lower profiles only allow 12mbit i think. i tried going up to the highest one but it was too unstable.

Not bad for this Cable connection considering its servicing 3 different sites via Branch Office VPN with email, intranet, files and all sorts of crap. One site has about 20 NEC Dterms IP hanging over that VPN link as well, trust me, not the best thing to do.... but works.

I work for an employment agency that is no for profit so we don't make huge money as well as having 10 different sites we have to connect internet to, as well as VPN connection between them all, plus the powers to be expect us to have full reduncies on every bit of equipment yet our budget getting anymore in it nor does my pay check! Thought's I'd throw one more of these in since I don't seem to use them enough.

Not bad. Usual max download speed is around 1.8-1.9MB/sec. Hooray for NDSL.

That would certainly explain the good speeds then! I bet he still doesn't get to download whatever whenever he wants though. :

My DSL2 is limited to 2048/512 due to crappy phone line and the exchange practically being on the other side of the planet. Doesn't look like it will get any better anytime soon.

That being said, my ISP, Adam Internet, is fantastic value for money with some of their most recent plan changes. Highly recommended for anyone in SA.

This is my 8mb connection running really badly due to telstra bandaid fixing my phone line every time it breaks, getting very annoyed, Also couldn't pick up the brisbane host for some reason.
