TRANSFORMERS..........ROLL OUT
I woulda liked to of seen more of megatron, but if he comes back as galvatron that'd be sweet.

Agree that there needs to be more on the actual transformers, less on the US army, lol.

Just got back from seeing this movie and am trying desperately to find a Youtube clip or similar of the chase scene between the '70s Camaro and the Mustang cop car.

Awesome movie. Everyone I went with loved it and the comedy scenes got a huge response from everyone in the cinema. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was definately worth seeing.

So far it looks like 9 out of 10 people loved it.

This will smash the box office records.

And bring on the other 2 transformers movies if the rumour is true.

I cant get enough of it!

My girlfriend thought I wet myself when Optimus Prime first transformed. Seeing my cartoon idles come to life (well, not really, but close enough) was what I paid for.

I really didn't like the story line, it was way too slow to get on with it, I don't know if it was my anticipation but at times I really didn't think I would see any Transformers at all. Then, when they did Transform, there was way too much human interaction, I wanted to see robots on robots battle it out!! And the love story?? ffs, if I want to see that I will go watch a teen movie through the school holidays.

In saying that though, my girlfriend was never a Transformers fan, she has watched a few episodes on DVD with me, but never really got it. When I was complaining about how slow the storyline was, she said it was good because it gave her a greater understanding of the Autobots and Decepticons rivalry and how evil Megatron is. She didn't think she would enjoy it at all but actually wants to see it on the big screen again.

Could have been so much better, but it probably wouldn't have appealed to a wider audience. Bring on the sequel, but this time I want more robots fighting!!

Saw it last night. Awesome

The mustang and Camaro looked SO FREAKING GOOD!

Fight scenes were a little too close-up for me, hard to tell who was fighting who in some points, but there were a few skids in there which was great

(Also loved the A10's at the start, somebody buy me one!)

That is exactlly what i said to my GF as we walked out.

Seeing UNICRON on the big screen would be absolutely awesome.

I hope the next one can be more like the animated movie, more bots and more characters. Hope HOTROD is in the next one he killed it in the anime movie. Would like to see the combo transformers, like the destructacons and the dinobots.
I need more.

Bought the game this morning and getting through it.

Without giving much away, it somewhat follows the movie.

Will give a review at some stage.

Cheers

Saw this yesterday and as a massive fan for a LONG time all I can say is OH MY GOD!

It's like they've taken all the coolest things in the world (fighting robots, cars, hot chicks, gadgets, hackers) and put them into one movie!

I'm with digitalpunk - the first time I saw Optimus transform I was bouncing in my seat! I think there was enough there to keep us old school transformers fans happy but still appeal to the general movie-going public who (poor bastards) didnt grow up watching these guys on Saturday mornings.

Now if only I hadn't given away all my transformers when I hit my teens - I had optimus, jazz, ironhide, starscream, swoop, grimlock, sludge, rumble, ravage, laserbeak and another decepticon jet I don't remember. I'm not sure if its good or bad I can still remember that over 15 years on :P

A mate of mine watched it and gave it a great review. I loved Transformers as a kid and wanted to watch it, but the missus thought that it was for kids. Well we watched it lastnight, we were both pretty impressed. But the transforming and the fight scenes were a bit chaotic at times.

PS I still got my transformers, quite a lot of them too, at my parents place in the atic.

Great movie. I'm not a massive transformers fan but I didnt mind the cartoon. This was fantastic, despite Michael Bay's involvement!!!

A brilliant movie, I challenge ANYBODY not to walk out to their car and look at it after the movie wondering, "Why dont you transform?!?!?"

I watched it tonight. I wasn't really expecting much, but whoa!! What can I say? Muscle cars, jets, tanks, guns, missiles, robots, awesome effects etc etc! The hairs on my neck and back were standing up in a few scenes - particularly with the 'Stang, Camaro, and jet scenes.

I left wishing that there was an 'adult' version to take out the lame humour and add some human gore (for realism, honest!). Now I can't wait for the DVD release and it looks like I will have to get a massive surround sound system to take advantage of it...

I'm going to buy the original Transformers set on DVD and hopefully track down some high-quality models hehe!

You and me both. But I already have the home theatre ready to take full advantage of the movies sound effects. I hope it gets remastered in DTS format. I reckon we will all need to put our orders in very early when this gets released on DVD. Coz they are going to go like hotcakes!

But first I will book gold class tickets and see it again.

Its released in America on the 4th AFAIK. All of the shorts for the movie had that release date. Besides, its so pro-american that its only fitting its on their independance day.

I've justed watched this movie. I was a big fan watching it every saturday morning. I own the 20th anniversary box dvd set with every episode and had optimus prime as my favourite toy for years.

the movie did not disappoint me. Agreed, seeing Optimus transform for the first time was a special moment. incredible special effects and 2.5 hours long!! I would pay to see it again in a heart beat. do yourselves a favour and go and see it on the big screen. God it was good.

was anyone here a fan of beast wars?

personally I prefer the original series much like everyone else here, but this movie did not disappoint.

Everyone I have personally spoken to who have seen it thus far are fans now.

Im tempted to go to toys'r'us and buy the figurine again.
