Nope. I barely tapped it at traffic lights. He took off and then slammed the brakes on again. I didn't stop in time so it's my fault. No damage on his boat but 4k damage to mine. All it is, is a dent and some scratches but apparently the bonnet will need to be replaced.

The missus is sure that it wasn't my fault because he apologized and therefore took blame. But my understand is if you run into the back of someone it's almost always your fault, that's correct isn't it?

Spent 2 hours replacing a bastard flame trap on a 25 year old Volvo with the dirtiest engine bay in the world.

Previous owner decided blocking it off would be a better idea than simply cleaning or replacing, hello extreme crankcase pressure and oil leaks everywhere!

Into the back of their Vehicle yes,

Painted the previously light blue tail panel and hood stripe .. gloss black (not sure if I actually like the change?). Now I just need to pull the finger out and paint the rest.

Red face Re: What did you do to your car today?

Picked up a genuine Ford SX SY Territory intake plastic air duct spacer and bolt set (part number: FO- SX 9C618 A) for $16.06.

This is for the Territory intake pipe and concertina hose I picked up for $63 delivered on fleabay.

Fleabay wanted $31 delivered for the spacers, lucky I rang around.

Ford wanted $201 for the intake and concertina hose, again lucky I shopped around and found a good second hand item.

To date the XR has had a few budget performance mods, the rear muffler deleted, a Typhoon CAI installed, a modified air box with left over parts (CHOPPED UP) from the standard CAI and the new Territory intake pipe intake.

Spacers ___________________$16.06 from Peter Warren Ford
Territory Intake_____________$63.00 delivered from Fleabay
Typhoon CAI _______________$44.00 from Peter Warren Ford
2.5" muffler delete___________$200.00 from Fleabay
Fixing dodgy muffler delete____$50.00 Local exhaust shop

Total______________________$373.06

Not too bad really for a car that I said I was going to leave standard..

Put in a phone/MP3 to stereo adapter thingy in the BF.

No more changing discs, how good is modern technology, its not that long ago I was digging out chewed up tape of the old tape deck.

Changed windscreen wiper refills, topped up windscreen cleaner and water. Bought some injector cleaner, put required amount into fuel tank, then filled up.

Went to the tip and picked up 2 small sheets of flat colourbond.
Drove to work, dropped the exhaust.
Dragged out the MIG...you can see where this is going...
Welded a patch over the fist sized hole in the front muffler and one over the many small holes in the back muffler.
Took the ute for a spin with just the cat on, left my mark on works dirt driveway
Then put the exhaust back on and drove it home without wondering if I should be wearing earmuffs!
