In regards to cruise details, we will appoint people to organise that from their respective areas. I think the suggestion of meeting at yass is a great one, as has been mentioned it would certainly be a fantastic sight to see coming down the Hume.

If we can get 2 cruises arranged, one for those coming from Vic starting at either Melbourne of Albury, and the other starting at Yass, I think that would be fantastic for all involved. If we can somehow advertise the day on those cruises (dont know how though), that would be even better.

What are peoples thoughts on departure times? Are yuo planning to leave on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning? I would suggest where possible you leave on Friday as it will be a long day on Saturday, and we dont want tired drivers on roads they dont know.

im not overly fussed on leaving friday night or sat morning..
If we leave friday night, we dont have to rush rush rush on saturday to get our cars cleaned up and be on time etc etc etc and we will have a good night sleep before the long day on saturday..
and if we leave on saturday we can have a big entrance during the day :P but in the morning before we stop at the showgrounds we will have to pull in and wash the cars meaning we need to leave Yass reasonably early saturday morning..

As a guide, here's what we're working on at the moment. None of it is 'official' as yet.

FRIDAY: Cruises to Wagga from Vic and ACT/NSW. Get to Wagga, checkin and depending on what time everybody arrives we may have a small meet and greet, nothing too special, just a 'welcome to Wagga' kind of thing.

SATURDAY: Show day. 15 or so cars will be selected to do a cruise down the main street of wagga around 9-10am. Meanwhile all other cars will be setting up. Cars do the cruise, return to Hillis grounds and setup. Show starts, goes till about 5pm or so.

That evening there will be a dinner for all FFAU members. Fordxr6Turbo members are also invited to this and I dare say any other clubs displaying will be invited too.

After that its up to you what you want to do. Go out etc if you want to.

SUNDAY: Possible breakfast at Hillis Ford depending on interest. Day is yours to do what you want to do and leave whenever you wish.

As I said, none of that is official as yet but it will be pretty close to what we do.

Yup, go up the Hume and turn off onto the Sturt. You cant miss it, and as has been said, there's heaps of others coming up anyway.

I'm not sure if any of our guy's(FordXR6Turbo.com) are coming from Vic.
I guess most southerners will come up the Olympic Way from Albury. (great road)

I hope to drum up interest from our Mexican friends.

yep i reckon a supercruise into town would be good, its just a matter of sorting out the times etc really so that we are meeting up at the same time

im guessing people coming from melbourne will be arriving late on friday though, unless everyone take the friday off and cruises up in the daytime

Good idea Dave although I doubt everybody's going to be able to take the Friday off. I certainly dont expect that anyway.

What I'd like to do is get 3 members, one from Syd, Mel and ACT, to organise a meeting point in their respective areas, where everybody whos coming down can meet up and then set off together. That way you wont get lost either.
If the Syd/ACT members take the Hume and turn off to Wagga, and the Vic members come up through Albury, both groups will end up on the same road, and I'll wait there and meet everybody when they arrive. Depending on what time everybody gets to Wagga, we may be able to go for a short run around Wagga and then check in to the motels etc etc.

On Saturday morning we'll also do a quick run around the town if we can.

So, any volunteers to be cruise group leaders?

Pete,

nice work! I really like them. My preference is the Blue one over the Yellow, mainly because people associate the colour Blue with Ford (i.e. Ford logo is Blue).

My only criticism is that I dont think the venue is clear enough, it doesnt actually say where its on, it just says 'Hillis Ford'. Something along the lines of "To be Held At Hillis Ford Wagga, 41 Hammond Ave" would be a bit clearer I think, because I also plan to send these posters up to the Peter Warren AFD in Sydney, as well as to all the clubs that are coming.

Teesha came up with a great idea last night (saw an EB GT parked out the front of country energy), can we design a small flyer to put on nice cars we see around? I would have loved to have left one on this GT cos it was mint and its exactly the sort of car we want to be at the show.

ok cool, i was thinking the same things,
ive also seen some nice cars around that i thought a flyer would go well under the wiper,
also did you want a specified start/finish time you wanted on the posters/flyers ??

Obviously the blue one is nice, but my preference goes with the yellow one.

Top Effort too.

There is kind of the front of what looks like an EA or EB in the blue one!

Anyhow, yellow stands out well, gets my vote.
