Saw what I think was two 1950s or 60s Rolls Royce on the way home from work tonight. Didn't get a good look at them as they were heading in the opposite direction on a dual lane separated carriageway. Both looked to be a two tone pattern, so maybe hire company?

Early 1980s Subaru Brumby, driver looked to be about 90. Complete with original "4WD" lettering. "On the Move" number plates starting with O, so looks like it's been with the same owner for around 25 years.

Motorcycle cops. Haven't seen one in years.

They must be getting desperate down in Spring St for cash to start sending up to the North East.

In Canberra the other day I saw a 205 Rallye, pretty sure it would have been a private import as I don't think they sold them here.

I think they sold the GTi here - the Rallye was the downmarket version.

It’s approaching “anorak” territory but from memory the Rallye designation was quite different between countries. As in, a sticker pack some places and a proper performance spec in others. The 306 Rallye (incidentally I saw a clean white one in Wahroonga late last week) was definitely a “sticker pack” (including maybe some specific trim fabric) in Australia.

One car you just don't see anywhere anymore is the Holden Calibra. I can't even remember the last time I saw one, and there are none for sale on Carsales either.

Subaru SVX spotted today, Alma Rd, Melbourne:

Subaru had hoped to sell 300 of these per year but sales were only 106 in 1992 and 251 in total.

Who remembers the Volvo S80, this one fitted with the transverse Yamaha V8............

Sounds excellent too!

I really liked Volvo's engine diversity during this era, transverse V8's, transverse inline 6's, growly sounding 5 cylinders.............

That V8 also formed the basis for the V8 Supercars engine used in the S60 race car.

Yes and used in the XC90 which is always tempting when looking...apparently have decent issues with some coolant leaks around the heads/valley which is super costly but otherwise VERY tempting.

The NSU Prinz , nice little car , pretty sure it was in Bathurst Races , it had 3 connecting rods driving the overhead camshaft
Probably, one of the most robust cam drives ever

Hell of a better setup , than the toyota Tiara , I was in a Tiara when it broke its cam chain
