Hi guy's, just joined up my name is Ian. Have owned and restored a few x series fords over the years including an xa coupe, a couple of xb sedans, and an xc sedan. Have not owned one for quite a few years now but have recently bought an xf panel van that is in the process of a total restore. Picked her up for $250 unregistered. She's on dual fuel but the system is out of date, so that will be a few extra $$ that i may have to spend to get it checked over and re certified if i decide to keep it running on lpg. For $250 she's in not too bad condition for age with only a few of the usual rust problems they tend to have and few minor dings here and there.Iv'e dismantled the plenum and re fabricated the vents and water channels to stop the dreaded leaks to the interior foot wells and repaired the small amount of rust that had started in the floor from the wet carpet that this causes.
Anyway i live in Darwin and was wondering if there was any other AFF members that are up here to talk Ford stuff with?
Cheers'n beers,
Ian.

Gidday - just bought a 2007 BF Falcon wagon - a few rust issues which Ford are looking at, and I'm trying to work out the mass of wiring that is in the jack space! Damn nightmare, but I'm getting there.:

Wanting to keep her happy, I have joined to be able to get some stuff to tuffen her up.

New sub for rear.
LHS rear panel (with the word Fairlane) next to the number plate.
etc

Hi fellow ford freaks..
Figured it time to put 'pen to paper'.
Current ride is an Black 04 BA XR8 ute, cold air induct, exhaust an chip'd.
Luv it, but my real calling is the ol skool early falcons.
I also own a 65 XP Falcon wagon (project) ..wishing to roof chop, air bag, V8 n white walls.
HA, an tomorrow.. I'm going to go look at a daily driver 66 XP Falcon sedan..
So, will be scanning the pages, an dead keen to catch up with an swap parts an info (have owned LOTS of early falcons in my 36yrs) with forum members.. Spec those in the west.!

Hey All,

The names Ben, Am 29 and a mechanic in Auckland (NZ), been into cars since forever,

About 3 years ago at beach hop (www.beachhop.co.nz) the missus told me that within 5 years we had to have a car worthy of taking back so who was I to argue? haha

if I won lotto I wouldve bought a 55/56 F100, however dreams are free but lotto tickets arent,

So i was orignally trying to find an XL/M/P wagon, but they too seemed out of my price range, then one day i managed to find one!

is a 65 XP wagon, has had a previous respray (more a 10ft fox if you get my drift) still running a 170 persuit motor, has had the 2speed auto upgraded to a BW35, Build thread will be up soon, but there isnt too much going on as the plan is to keep it running in summer and do minor upgrades over winter,

am more of a forum lurker, but will try to contribute if and where i can

Oh and my daily is an 04 BA wagon, 18" wheels, tints, otherwise grandad spec

Cheers

Ben

Default For Sale!

Hi to all at Ford Forums.com.au,

I was wondering if anybody out there is interested in purchasing an unrestored 1964 XL falcon Futura sedan. 99% complete.
also have an unrestored 1972 XLE Cortina 99% complete.
I am asking $4500 for the '64 and $3000 for the '72 which is currently on ebay.
I will download photos soon.
Thank you

Hi all, my names Neil and I'm from Wales, UK.
Currently on a working holiday for two years and recently bought a 97 falcon gli wagon (backpacker weapon of choice) to do some touring around. It's got just over 300k on the clock and cost me $1500 so fingers crossed it'll do the job.
Thought I'd join so I've got a reference base for trying to keep as much stuff DIY and should stuff go wrong the access to the knowledge.
Im thinking about sticking an auxiliary battery in to make life easier and maybe stuff like privacy tint the windows, built in bed/storage things that would make travelling around a bit easier/comfortable (any hints or suggestions welcome!)
Same goes for improving fuel economy by any cost effective means.
That's all for now, I've got a few questions to ask already but I'll stick them in the appropriate topics.
