The smily faces are better I think. It makes life a little easier when you're RED - GREEN colour blind to see what level people are.

Having all the faces yellow is a great idea. But isnt P and L plate faces the same?

It's funny that, as I also have a problem distinguishing between red-green, I had my eyes tested as my g/f said I have a problem with this, I didn't believe her, (denail) and went to get them checked and what do you know, those little pad's they but up and you have to say what number you see in the circle, I could not tell the red/green ones, but traffic lights are not a problem for me, I can quite easily distinguish them, ...

Hahaha, trafic light are easy. Think about it for a sec....

Top is Red,
Middle Yellow,
Bottom Green.

The top one could be brown but it is at the top, which means stop etc.

If I was in the US with sideways lights or someting maybe...

Back on topic though, I cant see the difference between L's and P's in this context though. Shouldn'y it be more distinguishable? Apart from colour (if there is one)?

Coming from a programming background myself, I know that implementing even the simplest changes on a website can be a big hassle, and even more so when you use your own free time and you're not paid for it.

I can see this being useful for the FS forums in particular. I don't know if it's like the other forums I've used, but can you see why people rep you either negative or positive with comments?

Yeah, you can opt to leave a comment. Only MODS/Admin/Forum Director can issue negative feedback.

That's actually my fault - as it is one box per 100 points, the fact that we have L platers set at 10 and P platers set at 50 means that they both have one box.

Sorry to all those who are about to go backwards but the P-Plate level is about to move to 101 - we may as well get it sorted early in the piece rather than later.

Cheers
Russ

sorry if it's been answered already, but is it possible to tell how many points other people have? or how many you have if you haven't been given any points yet?

cheers, Anthony

Cheers guys for that. I clicked on the rep button on my own post to see if it would bring up some sort of page that would display rep points, comments and all things related.

I think I've accidentally repped myself in the process, so mods it was unintentional :

I was thinking blue squares...being Ford and all.

But not fussed

On another note, I don't think I've seen any negative rep yet either

this is different... <<<
at least now we can see eachothers rep power : lol
so the max is 100??? (assuming this because russ has 100, although i saw something about russ's points being decreased otherwise he'd have some massive number - earlier in the thread...)

cheers, Anthony

edit: got changed just then, now the smilies are underneath, looks good

I have now updated the templates so that you can now see the rep power (that is the points you are able to give someone else) in the left hand user profile - just above the reputation boxes.

Cheers
Russ

PS: In answer to the question above, 100 is not the maximum - there are already users here with more than that. It is just that admins are restricted to that figure although they can issue more than the standard 3 per day.

No, you look like you can anthony, you've got rep power of 5, so doesn't that mean you can? Or, did you need 50 minimum... I forget.
