Hi guys

My dad used to own 136. He sold it about 25 to 30 yrs ago. Claimed my legs were getting too long. I remember crying as a kid telling him to chop them off and sell the car. It was my favourite out of the XW GT, XA RPO, Pontiac, Mustang 69 Mach 1 etc that he owned

I'd love to know if it still exists.

My dad is a paraplegic and used to travel from Wangaratta to Melbourne twice a week to play wheelchair basketball

Cheers

Just letting any Cobra owners know that at the All Fod day in Geelong Feb 17th the XC Cobra will be the feature car to celebrate 35 years since manufacture. The committee will set aside a special display area for the XC Cobra's there on the day so if you wish to be part of the display get your entry in and write on it that you wish to be part of the XC Cobra display.

Hey All, I saw number 27 today at Acacia Ridge in Brisbane. Had a quick chat to the owner and he said he has owned it from new and it looked in unrestored condition. It also had a pace car sticker on the side, not sure if that is true?

Yes Cobra 27 was used as a pace car at Bathurst in 1978 along with others and he has owned it since then.

I kept track of cobra's being advertised for sale a while ago. I found a file on my computer, from that the following can be added to the list:
#180 - Advertised in October 2009 on www.trademe.co.nz for $120K. Located in Auckland.

Craig,

I can hep you with this list so we need to get together some cars you have on your list are dead and I know of others not on your list. Plus you have car numbers listed that the Cobra Club has never heard from the owners so would be interested in hearing about these.

Cheers

Bruce

Yes that was my car, read post 120.Non matching # car,non original interior.I sold it because it was going to cost too much to restore as they were never going to be worth anything.

I don't know about that car but both Moffat raced Cobra's are resorted as the 1977 1 - 2. They started as XB's, in '77 convered to XC, in 78 they were cobra's and in 1979 only the No 1 car raced at Bathurst and it was the Federation Insurance No. 25 car. Alan only had enough budget to run 1 car in '79 so I'm not sure whether the No. 2 car was sold or leased out. Dan Bowden would know the answer.

I own a replica of the Fed car car and can confirm all this to be true in doing my research.

Cheers Graeme
