Hehehe... I have actually ummed and arrred on this for a year. Then came the Easter special, and made it look more attractive. Then found out they had one in Narooma, so that did it. Wasn't keen on the amount of adhesive tape that comes on them, just didn't seem enough. Although it probably was. So I let my beater fit it, and he used some urethane for a bit more grip. The colour match is almost identical, I am amazed. I thought I might have to get it tweaked, but it wasn't necessary.

Thank you kind sir. Can't help myself with this mod game. Have a new contact for paint and body too. I hope to sample his handywork in the coming weeks. Lets just say some subtle accents on the finish for now.

Both the polished gear surround and the lip spoiler look really good. The back of the car looks mint with the lip and the quad tips!

Thanks guys, always did like these lips. Colour match and cost were the main reasons for holding off. If this one didn't match, it would not have been fitted without a touch up coat.

I have a few small mods in the pipeline which will keep my interest through the cooler months. The next one is a BF XR fascia for the cluster. I grabbed one for a song off eBay. Arrived this morning, now I just have to fit it.

Maybe I should get some new plates, BA2BF

Ok, got a little motivated and did the swap over in 35 minutes. God it was easier than I anticipated. First I removed the cluster. Lower the steering column all the way. then you have 3 upper screws and 2 lower (Hidden behind a rubber flap). Unclip the two connectors at rear, and manoever the cluster out.

Cluster waiting for a makeover.

First moulding removed, just held by spade clips. Easy to release.

Then the cluster window, same clip setup.

Then removed the second moulding, again the same clip setup.

Gauge fascia just lifts out.

Fascia then is removed taking note of the fine retainer lugs around the needle holes of the 2 main gauges.

Lay the new cluster face into position and reverse the whole procedure to the finish.

Told ya it was easy as. Swing the car past when you have some time and I'll double check your calibration of the needles to make sure they are set correct. Don't want you to get a speeding fine

I have had one of these fascia's for a while but am too lazy to install it.

No worries Matt, thanks. I reckon they are close though, as the tacho seems to show the right revs at a particular speed. This based on my knowledge of my car.

No mate, it is the real deal. Exactly the same as how the FPV operates. Key in, turn to on and push button.

Another set of cheap goodies arrive. And I fitted the new boot badge today.

The grill one is a different story, it is a little smaller than the factory one. So I need to finess it a little before fitment. I have a few ideas, but waiting for the supplier to send me something.

Hehehehe.... You will find the grill one a few mm smaller than it should be. And the boot one is a little large for the plug cover. Assuming you have the same supplier. I know he does red as well.

Same supplier, but neither of mine have the circles around it.

Mine rear doesn't matter in size and front doesn't either

Then the rear badge place on rocker cover
