Why is it people who don't believe in God (and the associated belief in the after life) tell others to go to hell? If there is no God then there is no heaven on hell!

Why is it if the police saw you, instead of issuing an infringement notice to the guy in front for not keeping left, they will more likely give you an infringement notice for "tailgateing"!

Or you're coming up to traffic lights, no one in front of you so you'll get the white line.
The guy in the other lane who also will be first decides he wants your lane. Oh that's OK, maybe he wants to turn right up the road a bit. Nope, just sits in that lane like a dummy holding me up for no reason. He's looking in his rear view mirror seeing me mouth "WHY?" at him.

Same situation, selfish, incompetent drivers who sit in the lane they want to turn from for kilometers before they actually need to turn. To add to the frustration, usually these fools will do 10 kph under the limit. Another one that annoys me is on a particular road that runs alongside a housing estate, an 80 kph road that leads into a 50 kph zone further down the road. Someone will pull out in front of you, and instead of getting on with it and getting up to speed and therefore not end up a) causing an accident or b) not inconvenience those already at the speed limit, they dawdle up to 60 kph and then stay at that speed. Then when they hit the 50 kph zone, they don't slow down, they just keep sailing on at 60 kph. So, they go from being 20 under the limit to 10 over the limit. Classic case of an inattentive, incompetent and selfish driver. Usually by a man or woman of a certain age, or certain nationality. You could call that racist or sexist, but it's just the reality.

Of course, other drivers are annoying. Myself I remind myself everyone is crazy on the road and psycho drivers I either drop way back or speed up ahead depending on the opportunities. Either way I try to relax because , that seems to make the most sense

My displeasure for drivers on the way home is usually compounded by being tired, grumpy and fed up with certain co-workers,

... That sellers on marketplace can be such raving wastes of skin... Saw a fairmont on there the other night, in my town, same colour as mine, 100,000km less on the clock and the price, not too out there.
In fact, the only differences seemed to be a general lack of cleaning, a few broken bits and a six in the engine bay instead of the proper V8 accoutrement. So, I bite and messaged the bloke Wednesday night, expressing my interest to view (four hours after it was advertised). Get a message yesterday morning, "yep come and have a look". Great, I thought, told him I finished work at five, he retorted that he finished at six, so I asked if he'd let me know when he got home and I would come and view it then.. All good. Then a couple hours later he sent a heap of pics of the interior and said it needs a bit of a clean... (An understatement if ever I've read one). I thanked him for the pics and awaited news of when I could check it out in person. In the meantime, I was getting delerious thinking of all the nice spare panels I would have, the barra to put in a track car, all of the bits I could sell.... Cue me getting home. Check the messages and the add pops up as SOLD... No further messages from old mate, just SOLD. Is there no common decency any more?? Fair enough if he had other people lined up first... But maybe say that?? Or maybe because I didn't transfer money immediately, sight unseen he thought I was not serious... Either way, a courtesy "sorry mate, I've sold the car out from under you, no hard feelings" would've been appreciated. Bah, says I! |

Completely ruins the theme of the vehicle, taking a modern sports car and adding chrome just looks out of place, tacky and old hat. Taking a stab here, I'm guessing the owner is male and about 65-70 years old. Looking at the persons profile, the listed occupation is labeled "retired"..................I rest my case.

My motto is if the car has chrome trim, chrome wheels look ok, if the car has blacked out trim, the rims are ok black, if the car has silver trim, alloy is the go, but mixing it up is a no no.

Why is it before the Russian-Ukrainian war, the capital was pronounced Ki-ev (i as in igloo, e as in Equador) and now everybody in the media pronounce it Kyiv (yi as the first two letters in yip)?

Why is it more and more useless drivers of today get a pass in their driving test FFS.
Like isn't it obvious by the instructer they are scared ****less on the road. Tell them to keep Learning till they have more confidence.

It's one of those things that some are good at, some aren't. The problem is, those that aren't confident or good at driving are risking their lives and those around them. And because a driver's license is seen as a right and not a privilege, everyone ends up getting one.

the dumb a**e organizers decided to lift racing cataramans out of the water in a severe thunderstorm.
I'm standing there watching this storm roll in from miles away, it was obvious it wasn't going to miss the city and yet they still carried on. Meanwhile two crane operators who should have known better, are lifting the masts off just before the fierce squall happened. I bet we don't see workcover inquiring into this fiasco, they just like sticking it to the small business guys instead. https://7news.com.au/sport/sailing/d...orm--c-9797340

Drivers seem to be falling into one of two catagories, the perpetually outraged who see you pull out in a satisfactory gap, who will then speed up behind you before losing their **** because you're holding them up. Or The ones you mention who'll manouvre infront and then deliberately hold you up with eyes in the rear vision waiting for a reaction. I tend to slow down for the former and ignore the latter, flips it on its head and drives them nuts. Had an idiot pull the latter on me this morning running up our Southern expressway, Im piloting a B11 Coach Concept, about 4m high and 12m long worth $700k give or take, hard to miss. Trucks going slow in left lane on the climb so I stay in the middle, these things will pull up there doing 100 without breaking a sweat. This idiot in a Yaris pulls out from behind a truck doing 40 right in front of me, I lift, retarder on 3 kicks in, hard on the picks, nowhere to go as right lane flying and im not doing to them what he did to me, old mate then proceeds to sit next to the truck doing maybe 45. I clear the truck and move left, old mate pulls away still looking in the mirrors. If id hit him at full tilt they'd still be scraping him off the road/my bullbar. |

Why is it, when my brother parks his Tiguan in my sloping driveway for the weekend, within 24 hours the battery goes flat? 3.4 volts, can't even unlock the doors.
Yet he can leave it for a week in his shed and it fires up. Short story he purchased it 2nd hand a month ago, battery in the boot, no idea how old it is, twice he's left it at my place and both times it's flat. Could a sloping driveway cause the battery acid to drain from a cell?

Do you mean a loose/bad plate in the battery?
Thats what the nrma guy told me years ago when i had a similar issue in my work van. If parked on flat ground it was fine. Park on a hill, it would promptly kill the battery. That was a work car so not my problem in regards to investigations or repairs, but i still liked to hear the final diagnosis on stuff. |
