I'd love to see some shots of a test 'FH' on the road like on the cover of March 'Wheels'

I personally think we will NOT see another Falcon in FH as FG will be its very last model with the XR8 receiving all the GT running gear as its has been mentioned in other posts on the forum.
Few things we should take into account guys, is it viable for Ford at this present time as they will close in 2016 to re-deisgn a interior/exterior panels for only a one year production car? Have a good think about it!

I've lost track somewhere, can someone please clarify for me: Is there going to be another Falcon GT, or will XR8 be the performance flagship? Thanks.

There will be a LE GT released in the next couple months as a FG II but FPV will not make it to the FH where all left over GT gear will be put in to the XR8.

Okay thanks guys, didn't realise the GT was being dropped too. I thought it was going back as a Ford-factory product.

The only new model released will be a series 3 FG just like the EA EB ED Series, I hope I am wrong but so much hype as Ford as struggling with sales. So many teaser pictures are we sure its a new test car like the Mondeo?

Hi guys, wow long cool thread!!
All that seems to be posted are pics similar to what they already have in the USA. Ford fusion front: http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/ With a ford taurus rear end.. http://www.ford.com/cars/taurus/trim/sho/ We will probably end up with the new generation of these when the falcon dies after 2016 anyway so I hope ford come up with something different until then. I also dont see any V8 option on the ford website for anything other than the mustang :-( (The ecoboost six sounds pretty good though).

Don't get me wrong, I have no problems with speculation and discussion, but my blood boils when people come on here and post up completely wrong information and act like it's based on fact. Not only is it intellectually unfortunate, it leads to unnecessary concern and the creation of false rumours... Are we sure it's not a Mondeo? Yes, unless they've stuck a FG interior and doors onto/into a Mondeo prototype... |

I don't want to sound like an idiot and act like a know it all and stir up anyone here, I am a true Ford blooded through and through.
Look at all the pictures posted of the so called new Falcon, all relates to Mustang/Taurus/Focus/Mondeo all overseas models. Lets just wait and see what comes out from Ford I'll leave it at that. Last edited by nickd; 12-03-2014 at 04:17 PM. |

November 2014 - October 2016. As for the fascination with American cars, after having driven a 300C and other offerings I'm going to go Euro in the future for better quality.

I agree that it will probably only see 12 months on the market before they pull up stumps but it's too late to return the governments money now. If they had there time over again they would not have done it, since then sales have plummeted. |

All the spy pictures show a falcon with updated front and rear ends, its happening. Its not a FG3, its a FU/FH falcon. improvements to the drivetrain and economy and possible upgrades on the interior. Ford have committed to the new falcon, and its in full swing...

Actually look at the pictures you've said you've looked at, and then look at an FG Falcon. You may notice that they look similar. The F? Falcon is happening... end of story. |

Im wondering if owning a FH as a long term proposition is a great idea. Parts are going to be impossible to get, and the aftermaket is unlikely to support it at all.
The auctions are going to be an interesting place in a couple of years any time one comes up. The die hards are going to be hoarding parts like T-series owners. I still want one, but even something like a broken tail light could put the car off the road for weeks.

Ford have to keep the shelves full of spare parts for at least 10yrs after the car finishes production.

Martin, mate, fellow smart Canberran, car manufacturers will UNQUESTIONABLY maintain solid parts inventories. There, I said it, wow, I go thru it without getting animated at that question. Breathtaking comments Martin, breathtaking. |

Go ring your local dealer for say a BF Fairlane door trim. Or maybe the woodgrain dash strip on an FG GTE Let me know how you go.

considering that pretty much all local auto manufacturing has officially been announced as ceased by the big 3, I'd be betting there would be issues in getting spare parts cor FH even a couple of years after release, especially considering the small volumes they will sell. Sad but true. |

So ..... on that pretext, we should crush every model that has been replaced by a newer model.
Such a myth ..... parts will be available for the same amount of time as they always has been for every old model before it.

No Falcon will have been built in such low numbers, so if you think parts will be plentiful you are kidding yourselves.
They'll build less FHs over two years than the amount of ELs built in two months.

It's a myth that car makers have to stock parts for ten years, I believe the wording including helpful phrases like 'where possible' and 'if practical'...
Don't get me started on the hoarding being done by certain model enthusiasts lol. Fh will be no different to bf, au, el etc. and if someone sees a market that's worth tooling up to make ef/el elect window switches then I doubt fh will be an issue |

And let's face it the FH will be mainly a cosmetic change, so any mechanical part's should be interchangeable with FG which has been in production for how long now ?.
The engine is looking like it will be 315/335 or there a bouts but will be the same engine that is available in the FG now , so once again part's interchangeable and this will be no different with the 6cly variants. It will only be cosmetic stuff that will be different and they will be available in yr.'s to come and if not then off to the wrecker's you go just as us folk that can no longer buy new Falcon part's for our rides, no different to another older model cycle really. |
