3) any large Capital expenditure on R & D normally underpinned by budgeted sales would also be impacted
Yes their large 'loss' posted this year was the result of R&D costs that had been carried forward year on year and had to be realised.

The 2007 GT500 used a wet-sump 5.4 up through 2012. And the block changed from iron to aluminum (American spelling) for 2010 (or maybe it was 2011).

The 2013 model uses a 5.8, not a 5.4 (but it is based on the 5.4 architecture, not the new 5.0 architecture).

Its a simple fact that no manufacturer will spend half a billion dollars creating a new car at Falcons price point for it only to sell 1000 or so a month. Its 100% unfeasible, unless by some miracle they have some sort of export plan for it, or they switch to a global model for production.

The original plan for FG to be sustainable with the money spent on it was 3500 a month. Its light years from that now.
Are you guys running a book when it will break the less than 1000/month?

Exactly and even though that was made clear in the statements that that was the case, the press turned it into another Falcon death spiral story.

Dont forget that in 2010 and 09, they made profit...on the back of the FG launch.

We might see 2012 as another profit?

Paying out so many redundancies will more than likely put an end to that. Big dollars there. Not to mention months and months full of down days.

You can't make money when you're paying people to stay home.
