Looks OK but the interior needs work. Those Landau buckets look out of place. Could benefit from a custom interior and an engine bay cleanup. Sounds like it's had plenty spent on it. I reckon $30K is about its worth.

Agreed. This looks to be a really good unit. Nothing to spend, just turn the key and cruise. I reckon this one's quite a good buy.

He could have started at $49,000 if he didnt have those wheels on it! Apart from those which would go straight back onto Ebay ...... not a bad coupe at all!

Without revisiting the other thread .... which I will anyway ...... just goes to show that 40k is alot for a bitsa coupe to do up as a replica when they are still available for aorund that price. Even if this goes to 60k, which I am sure it wont, still in front buying this than starting from scratch.

Well said, i'm in agreement on all points including the wheels, they just don't suit like a set of of Convo Pros or weld Pro Stars.

Default One for worse thing done to a coupe?

Unsure about the Lexus engine but Supra tail lights? Ruins one of the best features of the XB.

"owned it since 2001, been a country car from day one, 'No Rust', I knew the car locally (Moree NSW since 1980) I'm asking $22k negotiable, original motor comes with it (out because of 2 burnt valves), currently running 302 black block electronic dizzy (ex ZJ fairlane) with reco'd 600 vac 2ndry's, 3 core radiator (was new 5 yrs ago) extractors, single system, original 4 speed single rail, disc brake BW slippery 2.92:1 (ex ZJ) front end done up, 14" Globes. Had a freshen up on the paint a few years before I bought it, not buffed, (passes the 20 foot test)"

Hi all just got back on the weekend one of my old coupes I had 17 years ago. It was on ebay last week, but didnt sell on ebay so I contacted the owner and done a deal. It is very rough and missing some parts that were stolen off it. But still has rig motor etc. Its 302 4speed light blue black trim GS. Its like having an old friend home.

A couple for sale:

Fordmusclecarsales:
A Blue/White Gossy. Looks reasonable, not a bad price. Maybe room to haggle?
http://www.fordmusclecars.com.au/vie...sp?ItemID=2814

This one looks like good value. Has been on the market for a while now:
http://www.fordmusclecars.com.au/vie...sp?ItemID=2706

And on australianmusclecarsales, this XA has had a big price drop. Was pretty optimistic but now looks to be about the right money for what looks to be a top shelf coupe:
http://www.australianmusclecarsales....le_view/117122

This one's pretty expensive now but worth watching. Lots of profit margin!!

Theres something not quite right about this one. XA with June 1972 compliance plate but with late XB or XC rear quarters (horizontal repeaters). No plastic vents in door jamb either which I thought was in all XA's and early XB's. Admits to an XC update to the front sheetmetal and dash, but to me it just looks like an XC with XA tail lights. And an XA compliance plate! Rebirthed maybe? Something you'd want to check out thoroughly before laying out dollars for it.

Interesting to see what the winning bid will be. Appears to be a good project with all the pieces required.
Anyone here bidding on it?

Default Is this really a John Goss?

Goss?

Last week the guy was trying to sell each of those rusty 1/4 panels for $600 each and the roof for $500 with the proviso the winning bidder cuts them off themselves.

That was for sale up here in Townsville last month I think and it was going a lot cheaper than that. Maybe new owner wants some quick cash or he has moved.

This looks interesting.

Looks like it was a fairly well spec'd car from new.
