don't think the original design was ever shown. Thankfully it was changed, it was terrible imo.

Is this the pictures your talking about??

Not exactly seeing what it looks like if you ask me. Away, I'm still excited to see it properly.

I recall Wheels did a pre release CGI that was said to be about 90% correct to the original XR bar

Lol, took me a while after I started thinking "geez those blokes look similar either side of the model" my excuse is, it's been a very long week.

It is though a very clever way of only having to work on half a clay model but still see the "whole" car.

Not that. It was the one that looked like an Evo IV, with the foglights either side of the number plate.

I saw it a good year before the FG was released and was surprised to see the front bar was totally different from what we were shown early on.

Just because they announced moving to blackberry doesn't mean its here tomorrow. It will be here in the next generation of cars.
The new Mustang coming will have Sync.

Yes I am well aware of that. What is your point ?

My point is...

SYNC has been around for near enough 7 years, and is only now making it into a Falcon in it's death throes.

If the original FG had it maybe there wouldn't be all this crying about a lack of tech.

My point was to indicate that Sync was getting expanded which you were saying that it was gone.

Also if the current sync was in the Falcon it would make the car look crap. Enough people complained about the base model screen in Falcon. Imageine the rubbish looking screen in the current focus.

Also Sync aint that special (in any of the Fords), and only adresses a little bit of the 'Tech' deficiency. There is a lot more money thats needed to get the Tech that people 'seem' to want even if the top selling cars are not the leader in tech.

Oh but that is a characteristic of the vehicle (Popular line used at most dealers).

Like the gearbox clunking and grinding and loud exhaust leak that our local dealer has refused to have a fair go at resolving... Unacceptable for a 2012 car which currently sounds and drives worse than a Hyundai excel. Ford don't give a flying crap though.

Unfortunately everything is KPI and push push push. Days are gone where service mattered; Pre sales don't talk with Post sales and support, they promise the opposite to one another and cause all sorts of headaches and sour tastes..

There are still service centres around that go over and above the expectation and they are the only ones thriving at the moment. It has to hit hard home to these guys soon enough (Not like it will change anything for the future of car manufacturing in Australia), but these companies still want to make money and it won't happen on pure turn over.
