I think the whole thing was dreamed up by a Kool-Aid drinking, virtue-signaling strawman in a gaslit echo chamber of his mother’s basement.

Any legal experts here? I'm curious..
We were all told that it is illegal to make downloading the app compulsory. We have been shown the draft legislation that says so. The gov has even given us an example - Coles cannot make it a condition that you download the app before you enter their stores. But Scomo is now telling us that he will only relax lockdown laws IF enough people download the app? Say what?!! How is that different to Coles potentially saying, you can only enter if 99% of of people in the shop at any one time has the app downloaded?! |

You're talking about a country which massacred its own students and then denies it: https://www.history.com/topics/china/tiananmen-square Actively tries to undermine its 'one country, two systems' program it employs with Hong Kong after the British hand over to extradite citizens to mainland China, to crack down on dissenters: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-49317695 The country which currently has over 1,000,000 Uyghur Muslims detained in 'education camps' participating in cultural genocide at the very least and using them for forced labour: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-09-...china/11537628 https://www.aspi.org.au/report/uyghurs-sale Aggressively trying to assert claim over international waters in the South China Sea under their 'nine dash line' territorial claims, trying to bully Vietnam and the Philippines: https://asiatimes.com/2020/05/china-...uth-china-sea/ Consistently attempts to undermine Taiwan's sovereignty: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34729538 Lying to the World Health Organisation about COVID-19 person to person transmission not occuring: https://twitter.com/WHO/status/1217043229427761152 Interestingly the thing that China has taken offense at is international pressure from Australia to investigate the COVID-19 pandemic, they've brushed off the international community on all these other issues or just flat out denied everything. You know why China doesn't want to close the wet markets? Because **** you round eye, thats why. |

Coles can't discriminate against you based on your age, sex, gender, disabilities and so on. However, they can make it a condition of entry you must have the app installed to gain entrance to their stores. You accept that as part of their terms and conditions when you enter their store. They may make that decision knowing it may alienate 50% of their customers. You, as a consumer, have no legal obligation to shop at Coles, you are quite within your rights to shop elsewhere if you dont agree with their terms.

While kinda related to COVID-19, given the increase in e-sports at the moment because of the restrictions, this is an interesting one:

There have been rumours of the synthetic nature of C19 ever since its gene sequencing was plotted. Look up pShuttle and Covid-19. The mere suggestion of this has been rebutted mostly by scientists who have Chinese surnames! (go figure)
So here’s more smoke. 2008 Nobel Prize winner Luc Montagnier (he discovered HIV) said that COVID-19 coronavirus disease was artificially created in a lab by biologists working on an AIDS vaccine. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/lu...d-created-lab/ |

"While Montagnier truly made these statements, his theory that COVID-19 was artificially created in an attempt to create an AIDS vaccine has been widely disputed by scientists. Virologist Etienne Simon-Lorière from the Pasteur Institute in Paris called the theory absurd, saying: That does not make sense. These are very small elements that are found in other viruses of the same family, other coronaviruses in nature… These are pieces of the genome that actually look like lots of sequences in the genetic material of bacteria, viruses and plants. If we take a word from a book and that word resembles that of another book, can we say that one has copied from the other?… It’s absurd. "

So.....a week ago the US intelligence agencies came out publicly stating there is no evidence that the virus came from a lab. Then this gets leaked... https://www.politico.com/news/2020/0...navirus-207244 Then a week later a memo comes out saying there is strong evidence its from a lab. 5 eyes. Canada, UK and NZ have been very quiet. So much so Justin is being trolled on the internet for being a closet communist. UK have said now is not the right time, because they are relying on PPE from China. NZ...not a peep. It has as much credibility as China sharing a dossier with Russia, Iran and North Korea and claiming it as fact. What we aussies don't get to see is what is actually happening in other parts of the world. What do you think of this? Australia. 18 new cases, 2 deaths so the CMR is up to 1.397% while active cases are down to 13.1%. NSW recorded 4; Victoria had 13 and Queensland 1 with the remaining States having no new cases.
NZ had 2 new cases and no deaths so the CMR drops to 1.345% and active cases to 13.6%. The UK showed some positive signs with just over 4k new cases and 300 deaths so the CMR improved to 15.244% although active cases rose slightly to 84.4%. The USA also had a small improvement with new cases below 30k and the CMR dropping to 5.775% while active cases also dropped to 79.3%.

Professor Michael Levitt is not an epidemiologist. He’s Professor of Structural Biology at the Stanford School of Medicine, and winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for “the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems.” He’s a numbers guy
https://unherd.com/thepost/nobel-pri...r-exponential/ I think the policy of herd immunity is the right policy. I think Britain was on exactly the right track before they were fed wrong numbers. And they made a huge mistake. I see the standout winners as Germany and Sweden. They didn’t practise too much lockdown and they got enough people sick to get some herd immunity. I see the standout losers as countries like Austria, Australia and Israel that had very strict lockdown but didn’t have many cases. They have damaged their economies, caused massive social damage, damaged the educational year of their children, but not obtained any herd immunity. “There is no doubt in my mind, that when we come to look back on this, the damage done by lockdown will exceed any saving of lives by a huge factor. “the beginning of the epidemics showed a slowing down and it was very hard for me to believe that those three countries could practise social distancing as well as China.” He believes that both some degree of prior immunity and large numbers of asymptomatic cases are important factors. |

Etienne Simon-Lorière seems to frequently appear in published medical papers alongside other doctors with Chinese surnames (just saying). His institute seems to have funded/financial ties to the China Wuhan lab (just saying). That smoke just keeps on coming, maybe there’s a fire somewhere? It's not as if the Chinese would leave too many clues but you might get lucky... 4d 61 64 65 20 69 6e 20 43 68 69 6e 61 2e 20 44 69 65 20 79 6f 75 20 69 6d 70 65 72 69 61 6c 69 73 74 20 57 65 73 74 65 72 6e 20 53 63 75 6d 20 21 Last edited by cheap; 04-05-2020 at 11:41 AM. |

Read some histories of 1918. There were 3 waves. The first wave was mild, people locked down, relatively few people infected/hospitalised/dead. Then the second wave came, people didn't take it seriously and that's when the massive toll came. Sweden are specifically betting this one is going to pan out similarly with a second wave of infections in about September from a probably mutated virus which kills much fast than this one. It's possible widespread herd will reduce their infections but they are also betting that by not totally locking down this time the citizens will comply far more if they hit the alarm bell in 6 months. You know the story of the boy who cried wolf ? |

As for the data, being AWS it is likely hosted in several local data centres (Sydney/Melbourne/Canberra) take your pick. It possibly has geo-redundant backups around the world. Whilst the data is deleted after 21 days, in my experience backups always seem to linger about for years and years. Then there is the risk of someone with authority taking an offline local backup. If the data is overseas then the overseas data administrator is God. Having implemented many systems the inevitable conclusion is that data is never truly secure. |

More specifically, the numbers say the UK health system is performing way more poorly than the American....yet the news shows the British people honoring their poor system like brainwashed imbeciles. The NHS can't even provided a estimate on recovered patients and until a couple days ago had no nursing home numbers. The UK system held up as a rolled gold system......US bashed mercilessly. The US isn't perfect and they deserve criticism on a range of issues, but in most areas they are ahead of us. But here in the not so great state of Victoria, the police feel its right to leak photo's of arrested people and get them on the broadsheets/social media. While at the same time demand we download an app and that they trust us. Anyway my original point on more Americans having a healthy scepticism of their government was my point. Australians should be outraged that Dean Laidley's arrest photo's has been leaked. Yet again the most politicised police force in Australia does the wrong thing and its very unlikely to be any repercussions because the populace just accepts it these days. |
