Hi All
Have owned variety of vehicles all my life [4WD] but like my Ford cars.Purchased a 67 Mustang coupe 4 yrs ago original 23000 miles and no rust.Decided to purchase 1968 fairmont 58000 miles 6 cyl for something different but has rust and needs a paint .Currently looking at a1972 XA GT 4 DR.It has a few add ons which would preclude it from historic rego extractors being one but was told today that they were a factory option which is ok.Can any one tell me where i can find the codes for any options that were able to be fitted. Cheers Neville

Hi,
My name's Dayne, I just bought a 67 Za Fairlane and think I will be needing to use this forum for all the questions I will have in the near future. It has curently got a 302W/FMX but the plan is to get a crate 347W keep the fmx and go a 9" rear.
I just sold my BA xr8 ute and decided it was time for a cruizer!

Hey guys! This is a pic of my beast:
SAM_1444 3.jpg
Known as The Soviet Tank, or by some as The Vacuum, because it picks up all the chicks

My Nanna and Poppa gave me my first car for free! But it's gonna cost me a fair bit to get it into roadworthy condition. I've already spent almost $700 on new tyres and rear brakes, and I replaced the driver side lock, (the door wouldn't close beforehand).

My aim is to get it into a really good mechanical working order. I figure that if I take care of it, it should take care of me. Currently though, the odometer doesn't work; it's stuck on ~278k km's. It's got a hyperactive right indicator, the "Red Bull Blinker". Plus some other things: idler arms/front shock absorbers worn, power steering box leaks, AC/power steering belts worn, plus a few other niggly things.

And along with getting it into a good working order, hopefully fuel efficiency/performance will come along with it.

Overall I just wanna tinker and learn. I'm studying engineering at the moment, but I get pretty obsessed with doing something hands-on seeing as I spend so much time in lecture theatres. I know I'll learn heaps here, and hopefully I can reciprocate one day

G'day members, just a quick hello from me, my first time posting on the forums and perhaps someone might be able to point me in the direction of some instructions on how to remove the rear seats from a BA Falcon. Also I would be interested if anybody can advise me about how to rectify an airbag warning light now showing up after I fitted XR6 Seats with airbags into my XT BA falcon that did not have the airbags in them from the factory.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

G'day all you Blue oval nutters out there. Names Dan and have just become a member of this site of awesome ford info. I have been an early Falcon man for as long as I can remember Coupes, Utes, PV'S, and now have my first XK wagon to fiddle with. Hence joining this forum. to find helpful tech info on my old girl. She's a completely original 08/62 XK, unrestored but does need a fair bit of work unfortunately. Will post some pics as I go if anyone would like to see.
Cheers and keep up the great posts. !!!
