This has probably been already asked but have they addressed the issue in enabling the steering wheel to be able to be taken up a notch or two?
In the photo above it looks like there is room for it to go up higher but it doesn't let you. For tall drivers it is an issue, getting in and out.

Here is a better pic of FGII interior (mine in fact) to compare, as the comparison shot above shows older non touch screen version. That shot in the earlier post almost looks old enough to be BF.

Early FG1's didn't get the locking fuel flap, they only put it on high series for some reason. There was a running update to fix it. With FG the fuel door locks and unlocks with the central locking as there is no fuel door button in the cabin, you just push on the door itself to release it when the car is unlocked. Same as FG has no boot release button in the cabin, the button is next to the number plate light.

Not to mention a $100,000 vehicle and a S/C engine with cast pistons, try putting a heftier tune on that...

If tuned well there shouldn't be a problem. The LSA is low comp, intercooled and has piston oil squirters so it should handle a good amount of boost as long as the tune is good. For 90k its a pity they didn't put the LS9 motor in the GTS instead of the LSA though

Would be good if they had capless refueling as well. Having to undo the fuel cap at the bowser is so 90s now

Hmm but those small buttons I never recall using (traction control, interior done light and door unlock from memory) Trying to adjust the fan speed or temperature for the first time in an FG is almost and accident-causing experience ...

Yup I'm the same.
Look good, but not good to use. I had mine for over a month before I realise they were actually buttons under the screen. On fg1 of course... |

Yep FG ICC looks good but is a shocker to operate when driving.

I, too, think it's a non-issue. Only button I use that I have to glance over for is the air recycle when I'm in a tunnel.
Temperature is normally set and forget (especially when I'm the driver with dual zone, I just set my own settings and be done with it). I listen to one radio station only. My lighting is all set the way I need it. Volume and cruise control I do by feel on the wheel. If you're constantly having to search for buttons you're doing something wrong. |

As far as radio/ipod etc, all done on the wheel and is a non issue. Always loved the BA onwards steering wheel buttons, simple as it comes. Anyway, yes Spyman, post away. |
