So they lose hundreds of thousands on each car they build and sell - no profit - nada - nuthin.
Yet they have the balls to update and build more that go faster and harder ?? These guys are NUTS - I love it. Wish Ford USA had the same balls for FOA. Minimal sales , no profit , GT goes like $%^& off a shovel.......stuff it - keep buiding em , the people want em. The Falceyron....... |

Are there any of these in Australia? How would they be serviced, or any of the supercars? I bet the cost of servicing would make Ford dealer services look cheap, maybe.

Two XR6T Motors or Two Coyote's, doubt it would make it far to heavy and big!, maybe 2 x GTR engines could do it
But your talking about beating an engineering Marvel that apparently Grandma could drive even though it is ugly. that I agree with.

Love it.
Love the Veyron, I think it is a good looking vehicle, smaller than I thought it would have been. It is an engineering marvel, it just goes to show what can be had with talent and $$. The comments about adding multiple XR6T engines together to beat a Veyron are just laughable at best. The Veyron has no competitor, Hennessy can build a faster car but it doesn't have the quality, the refinement nor the drive-ability that the Veyron has. The Veyron is more than just speed, it is a whole experience, it is a car at the top of the automotive food chain, a car that can be driven each day, masking that insane power. I applaud you all at Bugatti (thank you VW for taking the chance once again).

Veyron is not about maximum acceleration - it is about maximum speed. A 20 year old McLaren F1 will out accelerate a Bugatti Veyron from a standing start.

I doubt it would have the quality of the Bugatti.

No, have you? I have seen enough footage, enough documentaries, articles, etc to see the effort, the materials, engineering and the $$ put into the Veyron. The amount of R&D spent to ensure the car can meet the expectations set for speed AND everyday drive-ability I sincerely doubt others would do the same. I am happy to be corrected, that the SSC is on par with a Veyron in terms of performance and refinement. The Koenigsegg Agera 1:One is pure hyper car, built for one purpose, speed/performance and I don't doubt anything they say.

Any one of the supercars cars mentioned on this page would do me just fine.
I wouldn’t care less if someone told me it’s doesn’t have the highest top speed or the fastest acceleration as I doubt if anything someone said could ever wipe the smile off my face. |

What a stupid car, I am sure it will get its *** handed to it again by the BAC and Pagani on a track. When I think there is a purpose or a time and place I could realistically drive at 460km/h for 10-15 minutes, and that such experience is worth $1 million, I will start admiring the Veyron. If I were racing, I'd be going for a BAC or Pagani. I admire the McLaren F1 way more than the Veyron.

People that say it will get its **** handed to it are missing the point.
It is the most refined super/hyper car there is. If you go on the other forums where people own Pagani Zondas, The Agera R and these will tell you that it is such a different beast. |
