One of these or all of the above? Sounds expensive just for 14's.

Have you run the car in its current form? That would be a good start.

Current form is not worth running, mods are currently being added. My guess would be 16-17 second passes at the moment without the mods.

Agreed stockstandard
Get a 5 speed/ 2800-3000rpm stallie, Diff (XR6), Headwork, Big cam, Engine work, Air induction, Proper tune or even after market ECU, Exhaust system, 245 or higher width tyres on the rear.
Should see you close if not in the 13's.

i know someone with an AU motor which ran a 14sec it has 3gs worth of head work and a crow cam. He wants a grand for it but is in townesville. Ran a 14.9 auto. I just thought id let you know as it might be a very quick rise to 14s for anyone who buys it. PM me if interested anybody.

But yeh, BIG cam, head work, ECU mods and diff/driveline mods will get you 14s mate. HOW Much?? well thats the hard part.

If you’re looking to snag a 14, T5/stall, 1521a+Chiptorque, full exhaust done.

Low 15’s can be cut with stock diff, auto, stall, head. I cut 15.4 with just cat back and a small 1004/110 cam. If I got a chiptorque and 3.7:! diff on this package 15.0’s could have been had easy as pie.

ИИИИ i havent read this for a while, thanks for the info guys. What is better a wade 1004/110 or a 977B, i went for the Dev5 cam and am pulling 150+at the rears at the moment, but with a tune should see 160 or so, have no idea what quater times this will get me tho.

Depending on traction, mid-high 14s I'd say if you have about 150-160 at the rear bags. A shorter diff will help a lot too.

Stiddy the car has not been to a drag strip since April 2005. AIR is a joke and has shut down for the moment ,and with me moving 700km from adelaide im not sure when it will get a run again.

With the above gear (as it stands now) I'm expecting 14.6-14.8's. The head is essentialy stock (just XR exhaust valves, 41mm) and the diff is 3.23:1 Open centre so traction is a serious issue.

IMHO, you would be better off getting 3.7's as opposed to 3.45's...

also a decent stally, maybe 2500rpm, somehting around that... if your auto is tired, you might want to look into a manual conversion. If you had to get the auto rebuilt you would want it to be tougher than a standard rebuilt one...

you should make some decent HP with what you have planned...

i remember i got a 16.06 when mine was an auto, with only a cat back exhaust and an XR6 cam... surely you should be able to get a low 15 if your car is running right...
