Default Descent price for rocker gear?

Sup,

I want to change my rocker gear over as 12x new lifters alone will cost me around $360. I'm going to get a rack from a local wrecker and just swap over the whole rack from an EF or EL. What would i expect to pay for a changeover 2nd hand rocker rack with lifters in it?

I've seen a lot of nice racks around lately :hihi:

Respek,(it's an ali-g thing, nvm)

Phil.

We pay around the $50 each time we get a set of roller rockers. Most times we get the cam and rocker cover and all bolts as well.
They just take it off and put everything in the rocker cover and hand it to you..

Thought about rebuilding your rocker rack? Rebuild kits are arround $30 from repco etc.

Is that a trade price or something? I can't find any racks for under $80. Please PM me if you're in Vic and can hook me up with a rack for that price.

dont mean to thread dig but i thought it more useful to add to this one than start a new one.

i'm getting ticking from the lifters, what's the best option here?
i'm not very knowledgable about the whole thing, will the repco rebuild kit be any good for this?

i can't afford to replace them when new gear, probably go for a used rocker rack from an ef/l

First place to look: how's your oil going? And what grade oil are you using?

Low/thin oil can cause lifters to tick.

that car has just been serviced and is serviced regularly so the oil is always kept fresh & topped up.
couldn't tell you what is in there without reading my receipt out in the car
