Now they have a classic australian ford on their show, it would be nice if they had some modern Australian fords. I'd like to see a couple of FPV's and then something else from ford like the GE6T

As the steering on the vintage holden remained unresponsive, jeremey was reduced to giving hand signals in a last ditch effort to change direction.

Any idea which Top Gear will show it? With the Aussie hosts there I'm thinking our one but who knows? they could be guests for the proper one?

Wasn't that for a Poms vs. Aussies special? similar to the German one they did. Will probably be shown in both series.

Damn I wish the little weed in the shiny Blunnys and riding pants had been dropped.

Aussie muscle cars will get an absolute bollocking from Clarkeson me thinks, often he fails badly at distinguishing old from modern, and seems to have an expectation that every car should be judged against vehicles available today, which I think is wrong.

I bet he can't hold these things sideways in third though - no computer to make him look like a hero.

Not really there is quite a lot of Australian and American muscle cars over there. From what I've read in the mags etc there is a large Corvette following there.

Thats only because they have long straight motorways now, so you can drive a Seppo 'sports car' fast now without having to worry about cornering.

Pity they only got the slowest versions of the red and the blue (assuming the monaro is a HJ) as the pollution laws started choking them by then. I predict that charger would leave the other 2 behind.

even if they got the fastest the charger would still leave the other 2 behind - then if the Charger did lose, we can claim it's just a 6 lol

Strangely enough the only electrical problem I had was a high tension lead on the dizzy of a Mk2. The wire was broken inside the insulation and would make and break contact, took a while to track that one down.

Doesn't look like any Australian Aerodrome either. Could the BBC and channel 9 have paid for the aussies to go over there?

Looks like the number of Aussie cars in the UK are going to get a run on the Top Gear track. Would love to have seen them go around the old airfield flat out. Maybe they could have freighted in a XY GTHO, XU1 as well, really give them some pace.

The TG track is the same airfield that VW did the tow the 747 ad.

Ah yes Lucas, rumor is they invented the short circuit and the only thing they built that didn't suck was a vacuum cleaner.
