while i can't see this strategy catching on, it is what some people seem to need. the amount of people who just walk straight out onto pedestrian crossings without pausing to make sure they've been seen amazes me. carparks are another problem area.

Yes it may be cruel but a lot of pedestrians need a taste of a metal fender to enlighten them to look to the left , look to the right and look to the left again. remember the old campaign from the late 70's early 80's and
Pedestrians need to know that they ALWAYS DO NOT have the right of way
Road = Cars
Footpaths = pedestrians
Drivers need to be aware but pedestrians need to have the common sense molecule to be activated as well
