Had an awesome day!, thanks John for the organisation and thanks to all the E-Series members for coming out and supporting the club.
I ran a new PB of 15.27 without changing anything from last time so i'm happy with that. I was running between that and 15.41 all day, so very consistent (where's a DYO comp when you need one? :P) Congrats all that ran new PB's, it was a great day.

I beat most of the skylines raced, and I think two of them absolutely destroyed me.

Was a great day...Too bad my best time had a really bad reaction time :(...15.35@90.53mph with a 1 second reaction time. I was pretty happy with beating alot of those skylines(didnt think i would) Just hate some of those turbos creeping up on me so close to the line.

It was a great day had by all! Thanks to John for letting me tag along to this one, it was great to watch. I also was one of the lucky people to run a new PB with no mods since my last attempt. I think the E-Series represented well for the people who came. I agree it was great to see N/A cars beating the turbos! A few awesome burnouts there too by everyone! :sm_headba

My EF Ghia ran pretty good mph into that head wind (only got exhaust and mild cam).
15.89 @ 89.6 mph, had one run with 90.11, the auto is a bit of slug with 2.45 60'. |

Without the head wind (29.2kph) it could have been quicker again :

grechie speced, i ran a new PB of 15.21 at 90mph with a 2.10 60' iirc. after i put 20 litres of "av gas" in i was running no better AT ALL then my previous times, so the exhaust came of after the cat and thats when i ran the 15.21 so with a set of extractors and some REAL fuel it might go intos 14's. all i really went for was to put out a heap of smoke, and it was fun! how many people are now deaf because of the ear peircing zorst note haha

Big thanks for attending yet another successful drag day guys and girls!!!!!!
Was great to have a run against you all again. I think it was a good turnout considering the drop outs so close to the day.... We will defenantly have to organise something next year, perhaps something different to drags (maybe track day)....but time will tell.... Hope you all loved our coupe squat too....(and my lack of exhaust :P) Jez |

I've just gotten back home :P Yesterday was awesome! My first 1/4 mile day and I ran 14.8s all day, bar one 20 second run near the start of the day (LHM, gave up quickly and cruised the rest of the way). Towards the end of the day I was doing 14.9s and a single 15.0 when the headwind picked up.
My best time was a 14.78@91.48mph which I'm stoked with! Best mph was 95.02. With my setup I have noticed I have nothing down the 2nd half of the straight. This was particularly noticable when racing a black XR6T ute (damn you, whoever you are! :P). I was ahead to the halfway point until the XR6T had reeled me in then steadily walked away to win by a few carlengths and 0.4 seconds (14.45 vs 14.85). Damn! A quick thanks to John & Wheezy/other R31 organisers for the great day! -Dave- |
