Default Draining Fuel Tank on an ED

Hi,

I want to drain the fuel tank on my ED Falcon, but I got under the car the other day and couldn't find a drain plug. Can someone tell me how to drain it. I need help urgently.

Thanks.

Drill a 1/4 hole in the bottom.... Ha ha, joke.

They don't have drains for the obvious reason that people would steel your petrol.
The only way I can think is the old way. Remove the fuel pump/sender and use a hose to siphon it out.
The bottom of the tank, the very last stuff keep for cleaning etc. Don't reuse.

Why are you draining it?

Or route the outlet hose to a jerry can and power the pump directly.

If you're not planning on keeping the tank drilling a hole in the bottom is the best.

Siphoning out of the filler would be the easiest... need a small hose though..

Yeah we used the fuel pump to do it, takes a while though.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I will be reusing the tank, so drilling a hole is not an option.

Can I take the fuel tank out of the mounts completely and off the car and clean it that way? if so, how would i go abouts doing it? just undo all the mounting brakets under the car?

Thanks.
