Default How to embarrass your kids Champion 2011

This guy takes Embarrassing your Kids to the next level. I have often threatened to drop my son off at school in my PJ's

Dale Price, from the Utah city of American Fork, donned 170 different costumes for the daily send-off for son Rain, 16.

Mr Price told KSL-TV his dressing up was a father's way of saying he loves his son.

"It's a way of letting him know that we really care about him, but do something a little different," he said.

The bizarre ritual began on the first day of Rain's second year of high school, which left him "in shock".

But the idea caught on quickly for Mr Price, who made a rule that he could not wear the same outfit twice.

Among the costumes were a wedding dress, a wonder woman suit, a mermaid, and he even managed to get a toilet seat out onto the front lawn.

"You don't want to see your dad dressing up in a wedding dress, waving at you on the bus," Rain told KSL-TV.

Fortunately for Rain, his last day of school came on June 5, when his father wore a pirate costume saved from a previous Halloween.

Mr Price's array of costumes has been documented on the family blog waveatthebus.blogspot.com

Funny, I've often joked about dropping my daughter off at school dressed in Spiderman PJs.

Knowing how cruel teenagers can be to each other, what was this man hoping to achieve?

He named his son Rain!

Something tells me this kid has grown up knowing full well his Dad has an off beat sense of humour.

Don't know about the humour bit. Poor kid would have learnt how to handle himself pretty quick, I'd imagine.

Good on him. Seems the son enjoys it as I'm sure the other kids and parents who see it daily would get a great start to the day. Pretty funny

What a clown. Being a teen is tough enough without giving bullies an extra incentive to beat you up.

Without knowing the family and the community it's hard to comment.

But if that was my Dad, where I grew up I simply would not have come home. Seems a pretty selfish and horrible thing to do to your kid if you ask me.

Love to embarass the kids. I purchased my daughter a purple Daewoo Lanos to learn to drive in and I love to drop my son off at the front gate of school. Bunnyhopping as i leave i reckon he does the 100m in about ten seconds its a crack up.

Why stop at just dressing up in a costume or not dressing at all and doing the drop off? I knew of a kid (not a personal friend) who's dad shadowed him all day at school one day to each of his classes. His attendance greatly improved after that.

A week into it, it would have been embarrasing. The week after I bet every kid on the bus was on it religiously to see what outfit the dad had on the next day.
