Default 5.0L Fairlane Woes

Guys, I have recently purchased a '98 Fairlane Ghia with the 5.0L V8 (128000k's) and am having some dramas with over-fueling. I'll describe what is happening as best I can... the car runs fine at idle and driving around, both warm and cold, however, when stabbing the throttle from an idle or even with some revs on it (1500-1800rpm), it will miss for a split second (maybe only one cylinder) and then pick up revs normally..when you do this it also blows a significant amount of black smoke (I realise that there might normally be a little when gassing the throttle, but definitely should not be this much). One thing I have noticed is that it tends only to do this when warm (maybe indicating O2 sensors?) I have done all the normal "process of elimination" tasks...cleaned MAF sensor, replaced spark plugs and lead, fuel filter, and air filter (has a K&N). I have also done the diagnostic checks (KOEO and KOER) and all returned 111. I'm now at a loss for what to do, I'm hesitant to take to our local Ford dealership as they have a really bad rep and I'm not sure where they would start anyway...so I'm hoping someone here may have had or heard of a similar problem. I've had a few suggestions from an electrician and a mechanic that it could be a faulty computer...I would really appreciate any ideas or help....thanks and sorry for the heavy reading but I thought it best to give as much info as I could....

Hey mate,

Sorry but I can't really help you out here, but did I drive past you in Churchill a few weeks ago? Your Fairlane & an E-series were parked near the cigar, but I couldn't stop because I was in a work car at the time.

Nice 'lane!
