Default What type of diff do i have????

I got a 2003 BA falcon ute, it has a 3.23 LSD and its whining bad and the clutches are stuffed, I was going to order some new ones but not sure what to order. Some ppl tell me its a dana diff but it looks like a borg warner to me, can anyone tell me what it will be?

Hey mate,

when you say clutches are stuffed, the 80 series Borg warner does not have clutches, it has a friction cone setup.

The Dana M86 does have clutches however.

I would think the diff you speak of would be a 80 series BW, we would obviously need to at least see the diff to know for sure as people have upgraded BW to the DanaM86.

In a 2003 it will be a M78 diff. The XR6T and XR8 had the M86.

The M80 diff was introduced in the FG series.
