If I had the money I'd buy that and strip all the good mechanicals from it... with v8 5 speed conversions commanding 2-2.5K it'd be good value for what you could salvage from it...

If only i had the time and money for it :(

It looks like the console is gone, but all the soundproofing, carpet, etc. is still there, which makes it look messy

Fire does a hell of thing to cars. You would have to make sure the frame rails and inner guards havnt warped, or you'll spend a fortune replacing them.

If I lived in Melbourne I'd try and get it for sure. Needs a fair bit of work though. I reckon it'd be worth it in the end.

Looked into this today, the motor is gone, anything Sprint is gone, except the lip spoiler but thats the same as XR.

I called Fowels and they are thinking of puting into the classic auction instead!

Oh well

That'd be right...:P if thats the case it isn't worth anything, even if it is a sprint...

May as well make a dedicated track car out of it.

LTDHO,
Looks like the sprint trim is still there? (Condition unknown) Also looks like the gearbox is still installed. The sprint box is different to std. The Diff would be ok (Different to standard). When you say the engine is gone. I assume gone beyond repair as the heat probably would have mealted the intake manifold, wiring, maf etc. Probably would be a good parts car for a sprint owner that is a bit tired..?

Be interesting to see what Darren from FTG Salvage thinks...

Some fool has chucked an EA Ghia (etc) steering wheel on there, I think cruise may have been optional anyway though.

Hopefully someone can restore it (like that EL GT restoration in the workshop forum), we couldn't tell by the pics if it's realistic or not.
