Noticed that Hills Ford in Waitara, NSW is/has closed down. They were a reasonably large dealership.
Wonder if they are a casualty of the current economic woes. Anyone know what would happen to a dealer (not factory Ford) extended warranty issued by them? |

The Hills FORD sales dept was to close last Friday - as for the service dept? The Ford spares inside the Mazda / Peugeot area is on the brink as well. This is due to the slump and the finance co's pulling out of the field.
Unless the KRUDD deal bails/bailed them, they are a gone dealership. Warranty? it would be the underwriting insco that has to honour that would it not? |

My brother-in-law bought his SY TX RWD from there .... as they know one of the sales-staff through family ... and got a decent discount.
The weird thing is .. Mercedes is taking Ford's place in the dealership ... so I don't think it is to do with the economy. It's more of a case of Ford's poor marketing of it's new vehicles that has caused the sales slump.

I reckon It is Hills Ford, not Ford AU that caused the problem here.
I have previously commented that for the first week (at Least) of the FG release - a Mondeo had the most prominent display position. |

Maybe we were unlucky on the person we were dealing with at Hills, or maybe they thought we were not being serious? Alex |
