Default Installing new auto shifter surround and air intake?

Hello all,
I'm sure these are both very easy mods and i'd like to ask how to do them as i'm new to this;

1) I just bought a chrome surround for my shifter and am wondering how to install it?
2) I also bought a large cold air intake to replace my original smaller one, how will I go about doing this?

I've heard they are very simple and straightforward to do, so help would be greatly appreciated.

Best bet is to do a search on snorkel for the intake, and surround for the surround. These have been covered numerous times before. If all else fails, just go to the workshop build threads and check out GKs - he has write-ups for everything.

What kind of snorkel did you buy?

The intake snorkel is easy:

1. Remove the 2 screws holding it to the radiator support panel.
2. Reach down and pull snorkel away from side of air box (can take a bit of a tug).

Fitting is reverse of removal.

I'm guessing it's off a BA XR8 or something similar, it's the biggest genuine Ford intake I could find.

Also thanks again JC, I thought thats all I had to do and I just wanted to make sure.

Ok, that's a BA XR6 turbo snorkel - it's a straight fit to AU. Literally all you do is undo the 2 screws holding your existing snorkel on, then pull the bottom away from the airbox and it will come straight out. Push the new one back onto the airbox, and then screw it back down into the same holes! You just need 1 screw driver and the whole thing will take you no longer than 2-3 minutes.

The eBay page also states a fuel saving of $15 - and that it's essential for restoring stock power to LPG-converted cars. What do you guys think?

Now all you need is a nice black leather shifter with chrome stalk. And i just happen to have one. Yours for $70 if you want it (it's out of a ghia).

I'm watching one on ebay and it's actually gone up to $71, so i'd be very happy to take it off your hands.
