Talking new el xr6.

Hi all,

For my 21st i got a 97 el xr6 5 speed manual. Now intending to do a few mods to it, so some advice would be appreciated. Id like know what people think the best extractor and exhaust set up (if you know a good place point me the right direction) would be that is without losing my bottom end torque. Also whats the ride comfort when lowering the car say 2inchs like. Also would a K&N Airfilter make a difference or should i modify the box in someway or use a pod?? Also any other good mods ideas would be appreciated with the rough cost of what theyd be.. (please no forced induction) BTW im located rockdale sydney nsw.

Cheers Moe. :

leave it with me a month or so, ill wear in the motor for you

get subs.. and a new cam, i think exhaust and extractors will just make it sound fat but no gain in the bottom end but in the high end.. i would suggest u get a higher geared diff (LSD to do burnout and drift)... like 3.9 or 4.11 to compensate ...

JMM DEV3 High lift cam, venier gear, extractors, high flow, zorst, advance timing. 98 octane

That should see you in to the high 14's for sure.

n get 2.5 inch exhaust all the way through from cat back shouldnt affect bottom end at all but once u put the extractors n high flo cat on it will.. but still would definatley b worth the pwer gain in the top end and dont get a muffler shop to make the pipes up because they squash it at the bends get pre made pipes or mandrel bent pipes
