hi everone.
i am in a bit of a problem. my 15in rims are in need of some new tyres and i then had to make a decision- 1.Spend around 2g's on rims, tyres and lowering 2.New 15in tyres and get a $1000 sound system put in and lower it. i have an leaning to putting the system in but i dont really know if anyone has any ideas i would like to hear them cheers matt |

Depends, do you want looks or sound more. Personally I would go the rims though.

It all depends how much do you like your music? Rim Bling is also great for looks
I went for a stereo, installing the stereo yourself isn't to difficult except the rewiring and connecting the amp, fuses, spacers, pulling door skins off etc where do u live? Adam

check my system below. was bout $1200 including all wiring and home made sub box and spacers. door skins are easy to take off just take note of your movement so as you can get them back on. the rest is real childs play. just plan out your **** before you go cutting or anything. i would go the system and lower it. i reackon big bass is a better head turner than 17 inch rims and i love the look of a car sittin low on stockies!

Mate,
From some one who loves stereos i am telling you now that nice rims will get more appreciative looks than a stereo will.. people hear bass now and turn and glare.. and i cant really blame them.. it can be a real pain.. Spend the 2k on wheels, mags, and exhaust.. since i fitted my exhaust 2 weeks ago i haven't turned my stereo up past volume level 5.. and it goes to 40.. Also its pretty hard for people to appreciate your car while it is parked on the side of the road if it looks stock.. Rims and suspension would be my priority.. followed closely by a exhaust.. If you are after a certain set of rims PM me with the details and the best price you have recieved and chances are the guy i deal wit up here will smash it.. Cheers, Nik

2nd hand 17" rims & Tyres, SPrings only lowering job, maybe a nice headunit or something.
$2k can go along way if you shop wisely

Do the suspension and wheels; your car will handle MUCH nicer.
-$800-1000 on some 17s -$200-250 for springs -$400-500 for shocks to suit -$$$ the rest for a camber kit and alignment If you shop around you might be able to fit a thicker sway bar too I think if you're lowering, do it properly once and for all or you'll never get around to doing it!
