I am sure Ross and Jimmy thought about postponing their day because what really amounts to an opposition team was having an open day in Melbourne on the same weekend.

Question SBR Day

[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue][FONT=Arial][I] Last year was great, heaps & heaps of really cheap stuff.....although a bit crowded, having to contend with the public... It would be good if the club could have the first 30 or 40 min public free????

What's the quickest way to get from Wacol to Yatala without your car?

Um probably hitchhiking - not a great deal of public transport at Yatala and it is a Saturday remember so even less transport options.

Good one Tori... encourage someone to do something that is not only dangerous but isn't it illegal...?? :

You should be able to get the train from Wacol and head towards Coomera, not sure if it stops at Yatala though, or you could possibly see if anyone from the forums is going there from the general direction of Wacol (Ipswich)....

I probably won't have any money anyway.

The reason I asked is because that's the date my Unichip is being fitted and tuned...

Hey look – I didn’t actually advocate hitchhiking just said that it was probably the only option… I would never condone any type of illegal activity... you reckon anyones buying this... : _2: :hihi:

SBR Open Day is OK – Pretty cheap merchandise but there is always like a million people and there is pushing and shoving and personal space invading…. Is an out of date half price shirt really worth this sort of discomfort?? :gren:

Besides I am not going because I am boycotting an event that involves me + excessive exposure to the sun. I am SO SO SO NOT going there again… :

So you going to go to the drags and show off this unichip? :Up_to_som

Have to say I support Tori on that one, think about it. If she gets burnt again we have to deal with the pain later.
Last year we were told we were going to get some time when the club was allowed free reign. This did not happen and I agree, not sure if I want to suffer the heat for an out of date shirt (considering Pirtek does not exist now). I would much rather use the day to catch up with some friends.

well you could bring your friend along and the membership officer will gladly sign them up :hihi: (most preferred option) or they can come as a member of the general public (least preferred option) :
but as least come!!

Ok No malice meant but if you would like details of an event they will be sent out to Club Members in either email or snail mail. Stampy is absolutely correct in his details of the Public involvement in the SBR Open day but these details vary to the Club's involvement and these details will be forwarded by the end of this weekend.

I would encourage memebers of this website to participate in our club discussion but if you wish to talk about events that are happening then leave the details of these events to the Club Events Committee or discuss them elsewhere on in these forums.

Cheers,

Ken

Tori, Tori, Tori, dont worry about the sun burn. You can always turn the air con on in your lovely SP. If its good enough to go down the 1/4 mile with the air con on, its good enough for general daily driving. LOL

Has anyone been to the SBR website yet and read about The Open Day.
They have a Picture of our own Gavin and Thomas with Russell and they also acknowledge The XR Club for our Help and Support on the Day. :newangel:
Thank You to all The Clubbies who turned up and helped on the Day.
