Default No more Bathurst DVDs?

Hi all,
I usually buy myself a DVD of the Bathurst 1000 each year for Christmas but haven't seen 2016s around in any shops so far so I asked. Nope. It was deleted by Beyond the same day it was scheduled to be launched? Did anyone manage to get a copy or is this the inevitable end of the Bathurst DVDs?
Geoff :(

I got the same story.

I usually get the Bathurst and Season highlights for Christmas but looks like there is going to be a gap in my collection.

DVD are a thing of the past, have a look on sites that sell digital downloads as it may appear on one of the sites.

Yes I'm sure they aren't as popular but I can't find any digital downloads either which is a bummer as I'd love that more. I'll contact Beyond and see what they say. I just hope it's not a Foxtel thing with them showing repeats or the time...or perhaps worse flagging interest in Bathurst :(

Maybe it's got to the point where you need to spend up on a dvr and record a personal copy of the 2017 bathurst? If no one will sell it to you on a disk, keep a copy on usb for yourself. I know it's illegal to distribute things, but for personal use of something to my knowledge it's fine. Why else would they sell dvrs or market foxtel iq

True, but a usb or dvr isn't going to line up nicely on the shelf with the rest of my collection though.

Hopefully another company will pick up the rights to it.

Thats true, but if nobody picks up the slack for a while do you not atleast want to be able to re watch the race?

I've been collecting the season highlights but haven't bought the 2015 one as yet. Shame they're not making them anymore.

I'm still a big buyer of DVD's.

I think Foxtel block that too. I have tired to record off Foxtel before (DVR) and got an error message. Something like content can't be recorded.

So I contacted Beyond and they replied quite quickly stating that V8 Supercars had not released the 2016 race for production.

Next obvious step? Contacted Supercars and they replied it wasn't released '...due to issues around licensing'

I tend to read that as Foxtel.

Bummer

There are certain sites that host torrents of V8SC races. Most likely from people that recorded the races themselves.
