Hi, I have an EL and a couple of weeks ago it started banging when it changes into 2nd gear. This only happens when it's up to operating temp and been running for a while it also doesn't do it when it's in economy mode. I have done a search thru the forums and it appears it could be either the inhibit switch or the S5 valve. What does S5 do and why would these only affect one gear. Could it be any thing else??

Also try the basics first, like getting the trans flushed and serviced (bands tightened etc). The trans place will also tell you the problem.. Hopefully it's not too serious.
