had a lady friend drive my manual falcon tonight, it was her 1st time ever driving manual. got abit confused and only stalled it 5mins after begining (where it finished). very impressed, as there not the lightest clutches etc
not only are they quik taxi's but practical!  haha/end complete randomness

1st time i drove a manual i stalled it after about 5mins, was only a box 3cyl daihatsu tho... aint driven a manual since then, everyone i know has auto's :( (or wont let me touch a T5 :()

The first manual I drove was a 92 Excel. I stalled on a hill near our house and had to get my Dad to drive home :( These days I love driving manual, too bad I don't have one.

Learning in a 3.3L manual XE with no power steering (or power!) was a real beyotch. But I'd kill to get that car back, it had clarse ;)

First time driving a manual was age 14 in my dads 60 series Landcruiser. Stalled it before moving 3 times. Once I got going I was fine. Stopped again and stalled again twice before I got going again.
Unfortunately my dads landcruiser is on the other side of the country and so all my learner driving was on my mums gutless POS Hyundai Elantra Auto. I need a manual licence for the career I want (Ambo) but I simply don't have access to a manual, so I am starting to get a little concerned about that...

My first manual drive of a road car was when i was around 16,i paid for a driving lession, i kept stalling it because i coudent get my foot of the clutch because i was 6 foot 4 at the time and it was in a getz, they are soooo small:(

I've never driven a manual Falcon.
only manual car i drove was a carolla on my driving lessons/test. wonder how i'd go now :P

ive had about 8 hours in a mitsu mirage when i was learning for my man license which i never took. that was like1 year ago before i started driving mine after the conversion 3 weeks ago. its been a real steep learning curve but im pretty good now. just gotta be a little smoother with the clutch at times. i spose i better get my actualy man license one day.

I love driving a manual... I get bored in an auto and don't feel like a "real" driver I guess.
I learned on an auto, and my first two cars were autos. Then I bit the bullet and just bought a manual car (74 Toyota Corona) and forced myself to learn how to drive it. Took 3 days before the car and I clicked, then I never looked back. Autos change gears where I would keep pushing the revs.  : :eclipsee_

I grew up with manuals. The first car I drove was my Dad's beast of an 89' Rodeo Diesel Cab-Chassis. Dad still drives the gutless, rusted, worn out POS, and I occasionally drive it as well. After I was good enough in the Rodeo, I got to upgrade to my parent's EBII GLi Wagon complete with factory fitted manual. What an improvement. My first drive in an auto came 2 months after getting my p-plates, and that is my Ghia. I do miss the manual but I don't have the money for a T5 conversion.

first time i drove manual it was back in sri lanka at my uncle's place i was about 13 n found the keys to my uncles datsun 120y, took a cpl of goes n finally got it goin onli thing was i was doin about 40km/h goin round n round (wait for it) around my uncles sand circle driveway he came runnin out cos the poor thing was revvin off its tits, i finally stopped but in the flower garden
hehe now i think about it i **** myself laughin

i learnt to drive in a 5 speed Saab 900s, then a 5 Speed Mitsubishi Lancer. Since then i've driven a 5 Speed Peugeot 205, a 4 Speed Renault 17 and of course my 5 Speed EA. Never touched an auto in my life

I drove a manual horse truck when i was about 14, just a few streets, didn't stall it till i went to pull into the drive. I learnt to drive in my mums old 5 speed Mitsubishi Galant, was a nice car that and ripped mad skids.
I've owned 4 manual Falcons, two EA's (1converted) and EB and my XC, autos suck! even ones with SSS are crap! :P |

the first time ever was in my bro's 1985 626. I was 13 and i stalled it a few times before getting the hang of it. my first time driving manual on the roads was in a Vn calais with the hardest clutch ever. i got it ok, i got my p's on manual after rarely driving manual. i love manual except for traffic although i'd rather own a manual anyday of the week campared to auto.

I learnt to drive manual in a 1987 mazda rx7.
Very forgiving gearbox,light clutch and short shift made it very easy to pick up manual. If you revved it hard enough you could change straight from 1st to 5th!!! She would bog down and chug like a b1tch but kept going!! My xr is not as easy on the left leg but i much prefer it!!!! :eclipsee_ |

First manual I drove was my mates beamer... it was an auto at one stage with a real crappy clutch.... 2 mins later, I blew the engine :O

yeah i havent had alot of manual experience, but i loved thrashing my mates Manual EA spac
rips it up so much easier than my ED! but dont worry, my manual conversion will be put in soon ;) (no really!)
