Default Kenne bell Supercharged XR8

Has anybody fitted the Kenne Bell supercaherger to their XR8????

The Mustang kit is 3700usd....

It's a positive displacement blower.....The kit looks great, the problem I see is that mustangs have the throttle body on the lhs where we have it on the rhs......

What over positive displacement blower kits are there for the windsor??

BPT are doing one on an AU at the moment I believe.

They are far from bolts on and there are no other PD available for the Aussie Windsor/Falcon that I'm aware of.

Doug this may be a dumb question as I don't have a V8... but would the US kit work if you swapped the battery and air intake (perhaps using a BA XR8 enclosed pod with custom bracket, or some other kind of custom intake)? Would the master cylinder and booster be in the way?

You'd need to do the sums with freight, duty, GST & exchange, but USD3700 seems like good value, that landed plus a little custom work to the intake & battery mount might still come in cheaper than the local BA XR8 kits. Not sure if the tune (if included) in the US kit would load though, you might need a local flash box and custom tune.

Maybe look in the Power Adders forum as well, see if EBXR8240 has any advice, he seems to know his stuff.

BPT have offered more than once to explain what needs to be customised on the Kenne Belle kits to make them work on our Falcons....hence the $10-12k prices.

If you dont believe them, then the only way you will know is to buy the kit from the States, and work it out yourself.

There is a guy in Sydney trying to sell a 1.5L Kenne Belle kit (same displacement as an M90, and enough for 250+rwkw), for the GT40/Explorer intake so it would work on the AU. Last I heard, he was looking for less than $3k....might be a good option if you can DIY.
