Default Power windows playing up.

Took off my drivers side rear door trim today, took apart the power window switch to have a look inside it, put it all back together and everything seemed fine.
Turned on the car, and the locks were playing up, like when the actuator goes, on and off, on and off, etc etc.
The the power windows relay started making a really loud buzzing sound and got REALLY hot, and when attempting to wind down the windows, the doors would lock.
Changed the relay, and it still done it. Put my relay in mums car, and everything is fine.
So whats going on guys, how do I fix it? Do I just buy a new power window switch from the wreckers, or is it something more sinister?
Cheers in advance.
Josh

Dunno Josh, but why fix it it it ain't broke? From what you say the only thing that has changed is you pulled the switch to bits. I think that is where I would be looking for problems. I pulled mine apart for the BA and they are tricky little buggers to get back together properly. Cheers - Eric

Sounds like you've buggered up reconnecting something. Go back through and check it all again

I have put it all back together again. I even toook apart the other side power windows slowly to make sure I put the other one back together right. I didnt do any wiring, so it can be that. Might just go and get a power window switch from the wreckers, and see how it goes.
