Default Wish me luck......

I'm just about to hop in the car and head to MLB for my nephews 21st. That means running the revenue gauntlet in 3 states. Used to only be 2 states until Clare made the roads ever so much safer by putting on a speed limit!!
I reckon that I will get 3 tickets. Thats the standard when we head down there but hopfully some insurance might help me a bit.

I will let yaz all know how many revenue contributions I make. I reckon it will be impossible to drive in VIC and not get pinged, especially when you are not used to the miriad of speed limits all on one stretch of road.

Cheers all.

I'm surprised Bracks hasn't set up pre-pay facilities at all the border crossings. That way you can pre pay all fines before you even drive in Victoria and save 10%.

Or (and I hate to be the party pooper) you could just do the speed limit and keep your points AND your cash?

Or is that solution reserved for IQs over 75?

I'd write something witty or sarcastic, but you know us low-IQ types...

Lol "running the revenue gauntlet"! Classic.

Good luck OBJ and keep it safe. If you get pinged because you're paying attention to driving instead of playing "where's wally" with the constabulary... well, the last laugh is on them hey.

Oh and enjoy Melbourne... but dont think its gonna be 33 down there

I made it back last night at about 21:30. No revenue contributions as far as I know.... probably wont know for sure for a week or so. Thanks to the new speed limits in the NT it is now necessary to drive at night for about an hour or so to get from Burra to Alice in one hit. That makes it a dangerous trip now. Just love this governments forward thinking. Through the whole trip, the only place I saw police patrol cars was in Vic. All parked with their money guns un holstered.

For those that reckon that it would be cheaper to fly, you obviously haven't flown in or out of Alice lately..... AND I love long distance driving!!! Also, we dont have a points system here in the NT yet!!

Cheers all.
