My latest problem is that my rear struts have failed and need to be replaced and I am wondering if anybody knows where I can obtain a set of Koni's as Eibachs are no longer available.
I have made some inquiries locally to no avail.

Hi Dave,
Long time! Shame to hear about the strut failure. I thought you've said previously that you had Bilstein on your Kat? Anyways, I brought in front & rear Koni yellow sports struts for my Kat from the US (Tirerack) some time back. You can maybe give them a try? I remember when looking locally at the time the struts were available but of course prices were inflated. Online research showed the product codes to be the exact same here or anywhere else in the world so ended up a given going the US approach Cheers |

I do have Bilsteins front and rear but obviously they are the wrong ones ,at least the rears are.
At this time the fronts are OK however the rears are gone and this is just after I have replaced all the rear bushings as well. I have found someone who can get the Koni's for me tztperfomance.com but I didn't think of tirerack which is where I got my wheels from. I have been neglecting my cat over the winter and now have to fix everything. Will let you know.

In search of replacement struts for my rear end I thought I would give Eibach Aust. a try in the faint hope that they would have said struts so sent them an email.
To my surprise I received a response advising that whilst they didn't have any rears they did have 3 x fronts left over from when they supplied to Ford for the Cougar project and for $250.00 I could have them and a set of rear springs thrown in for good measure. OH YEAH !!!! WHAT A BARGAIN !!! So fitted the new Koni's and the Eibach springs yesterday and the cat is running smooth as silk. As I am anticipating the front Bilsteins to fail soon as well will keep a pair of the front Eibachs. This gives me one spare ???
