Is that definitely a Victoria Police car? It would seem it's just a mock up as it doesn't have government plates.

Right, like that is faster, better or any more useful than a Falcon XT. Waste of bloody money just so a few coppas can appeal to people who like big shiney things.

Stupid waste of money, with little, if no, benefit to the community over a Police pack Falcon.

Good one Nixon :

Police make money selling cars, they're actually on a lease i think, or they get them cheap and sell for more than they paid.
Whoever thinks its a waste of money really needs to consider that fact that the government would make more with expensive cars.

As Above.........

And its not like they are going to replace there entire fleet with Hummers........... no need to go off the rails.........

Maybe Hummer gave it to them for a demonstrator vehicle, anyone thought of that............

It's most likely a loan vehicle.

Bankstown police have a Lotus. It's not normally used for highway duties, more as a display car when they go to schools and functions to talk to people.

I agree, most likely a loan car.

Last year Vic Police had a 300C that Chrysler loaned them and the year before that a HSV GTO coupe. I also seem to remember years ago they had a BMW Z3 for a bit as well.

I think I read something about this Hummer a few months. IIRC, it's a display car for visiting schools, etc, like the Lotus mentioned above.

Here's the Lotus.
I have a pic of it in my friend's driveway, but thats on my phone, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it onto the computer.

It's now been returned to Lotus.

Nah theyre all 5cyl engines like the Volvo ones, had a few through work and they dont lag in power. Its the H3 though, so it's no-where near as big as you'd expect. To me they look about the same size as an older patrol.

Do they make bigger hummers than that? I know the Humvee is bigger. The American HMMWV is pretty big.
