Default Bronco Raptor 3.0 EB makes 418 hp 311 Kw

https://www.autoblog.com/2022/05/24/...nomy-official/

A few vital, final specs for the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor have arrived today: power and torque. Plus, we've learned its official fuel economy figures.

Revealed in a tweet by Ford CEO Jim Farley, the Bronco Raptor will officially make 418 horsepower /311Kw and 440 pound-feet/596 nm of torque. That meets Ford’s initial promise of “more than 400 horsepower,” so you could consider that a success. This power comes courtesy of the Raptor’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6, which offers more displacement and more power than the normal Bronco’s top-rung 2.7-liter boosted V6.

Torque comes close to the Jeep Wrangler 392, but the V8-powered Wrangler still beats it with 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet/637 nm of torque from its meaty 6.4-liter. And if it’s a numbers war you’re after, we’ll also point out that the Wrangler 4xe is rated for a total system output of 375 horsepower/279 Kw and 470 pound-feet/637 nm of torque.

Where the Bronco Raptor has a tiny edge over the Wrangler 392 is in fuel economy. Don’t think fuel economy is even remotely wallet-friendly, though. Its official EPA ratings are 15 mpg/15.6 l/100km city, 16 mpg/14.7 l/100km highway and 15 mpg/15.6 l/100km combined. Meanwhile, a Wrangler 392 is rated at 13 mpg/18.1 l/100km city, 17 mpg 13.8l/100km highway and 14 mpg 16.8l/100km combined. Assuming mixed driving, the Bronco Raptor will save you about $1,100 in fuel costs per year, according to EPA estimates. We’d be remiss to not point out the Wrangler’s slight advantage on the highway, though it’s only a small 1 mpg advantage at that. Of course if you're really concerned about having your power while keeping fuel consumption to a minimum, that Wrangler 4xe we mentioned returns 20 mpg /11.7 l/100km combined on gas alone, and has 22 miles/35km of electric range. With a full charge, the estimated combined fuel economy is 49 mpg-e/4.8 l/100km-e.

Deliveries for Bronco Raptors are slated to begin this summer, and it starts at USD$69,995.

LHD only, but we can hope that if the F150 conversions are a success we might see Bronco next.

More about the power increase over Ranger Raptor, bigger tyres probably called for more power, no wonder fuel economy is not that flash…….

if there was a direct competitor for Ranger Raptor, I reckon we'd see the power dialled up a bit there too, but until then I think it'll do just fine
