A good-to-watch interview that covers alot, including the events that took place recently with the Big three, and comments on US governments actions and decisions and how all this effects Ford itself. Some info about where the industry is headed, and how Ford fits into all this, a fair bit the Ford product as well. Enjoy!

What nice change to actually see someone come out and say the bail out was a good thing for both the auto industry and the economy as a whole. No armchair experts, straight from the horses mouth.

I watched this yesterday. He did us proud. So many times reporters try to get Ford, Mulally, or Fields to say "We are so glad GM and Chrysler went bankrupt, now we are going to make a killing." ...but they have enver said that. They know how important their survival is to the industry and also get across the message that it means nothing automatically for Ford, the company. Our products have to be better than the competition's to win over any new customers for whatever reason and that is what is being worked on and aimed for.
I did like this interview because it did have less of that baiting. It was allowing a Ford executive to say what Ford is doing rather than fend off probing questions that would better be asked of a military General. Steve

Was quite interesting like you say for him to say they can no longer pick on each other and go tic for tac it needs to be about the WHOLE car market not just Ford or GM or Chrysler or anyone its about the whole market.
