Smile Ford Finance 2.9%

Advert on Sunrise this morning for Fiesta 2012 plate clearance , finance at 2.9%. Its taken Ford a long time to match the other dealers..

Ya gotta love advertising don't ya!

The comparison rate to get the 2.9% is 30 grand over 5 years yet the loan, after 10% deposit is only available over 4 years.

The small print hey!

2.9% is no match for 0% or 0.5%. It's in the right direction, but is not a match.

So where does that leave the consumer? Do you get that rate over the 4 years or ?

Also the comparison rates are done that way because of law..

Great, hopefully they advertise it. Picked up a new Camry a fortnight ago on the 0% finance. Makes a big difference to the buying decision for many people (as long as the normal discounts still apply).
