Yes it is a ford forum, but it also entails respect for other makes and models

now taking into account some of our events are co-attended by the LS1 guys, these forums are open to their input, much the same yours is

cheers

i dont think its a problem at the moment, its always good to discuss whats happening with the opposition - as long as it doesnt just end in a flame war...

we welcome the LS1 fellas here, most of them are great guys and have done the same to us over in their territory

i could see a problem if the holden discussion was more common than the ford discussion, but as that is far from the case i see no need to stress

Its great having the Holden guys here and I think you'll find a lot of the Holden related posts are started by Ford guys with input from the red side.

I like to know whats going on there too. (can always use a giggle :evil_laug )

But seriously its better to have an adult forum with a diverse collection of views and loyalties. A lot of members here have a bet each way owning both makes.

I can freely admit to owning a couple of Holdens over the years without shame. I dont have any insecurity, about whether the tattoo on my *** is Blue or not.

Just dont ask me to respect Skaife and all will be fine. :tosser1:

yeah i dont mind how it is now, im actually a member on ls1 and read alot of the stuff which is on there, i dont really post anything though ;)

i dont mind the holden fellas here, i encourage it - and an end to immature ford vs holden slander.

ongas chill out mate, i've only seen about 5 threads here to do with holden - and as stated you dont need to read them if you dont want to. i believe it's good to keep track of what each company is doing

Thumbs up

here here

i have never gone in for this ford versus holden rubbish

no one car is better than the other,,they all have there good and bad points and will all suffer the same fate one day..

so lets find that ford commadore or the holden falcon and live on.

I also appreciate knowing that holden are doing as Ford are generally considering to be their rival... so its interesting to know whats going on.

we're all just car nuts after all. as others have said we can't have the blinkers on, we need to know what the dark side is up to.

It's good to read some news on the dark side every now and then, while we have our preferred brand we are enthusiasts foremost. A lot of the Holden guys on ls1.com.au take interest in Ford news too, see what we are up to

Wouldn't it be boring if we didn't know what the opposition was up too. I love reading about what Holden are doing. Wouldn't it be boring if we had nothing to compare our cars to on FFA. It annoys me on another forum based in Australia when some of its members think Ford should never be mentioned there. Good to see some members on that forum setting these few people straight.

Some of the best threads on any forums are the ones that talk about the automotive industry in general. Far more people can chat about them & in my mind they're a shyteload more interesting than the usual humdrum topics that are around the place..

Yeah, I always feel welcome here. There's a lot of good people here who enjoy common interests, excepting that badge. :Reverend:

We also welcome Ford people over at our site.

Cheers

Yup, doesn't bother me, as long as there is respect shown (and the Holden boys can take a bit of light-hearted humor, like what I've got in my signature here, which I'm sure everyone recognises as a bit of fun, nothing more - my brother is a Big Ford fan, who's dream car is a V8 Mk 1 Capri, but he currently owns a Torana) then there is no problem, as far as I'm concerned.

I prefer my Fords, but that is because they're my preference (he says, stating the blindingly obvious, LOL). If someone else prefers Holden, or any other manufacturer, well that is their preference, and they're entitled to it.

: Make that another one.. :Reverend: . We all share the same interests, will always be holden and ford, the only 2 manufacturers worth talking about :. I was a member when it was just .com. I gave up visiting it when the holden bashing was ALL that was talked about, and the probs within the ranks. Now the new and improved forum looks promising to me, I hope we can all communicate on the same level, as we do on the ls1 forum. We all need to know or would like to know what the competition is up to these days. We are all mature enough, or I like to think so, to talk about things like this, there's the fair share of one eyed holden and ford fans, but no need to flood a forum or post threads boasting about it. Your just not contributing anything, just fishing/stirring up shit, and quite frankly its tiresome. Peace Out!
