Question 2L Engine

I have just purchased a Capri fitted with a 2L. It is leaking oil out of a hole just above the left engine mount. I think this is a crank case breather hole? Air and oil are coming out when the engine is running. The engine is fitted with twin side draught carbies so I assume the original hose from the hole to the original manifold is missing. Can anyone please help with this one?
Thanks

Is the oil separater (with a PCV valve) still fitted or is there just the exposed hole? If not, fit one and run a hose from this to you inlet manifold. There should be a tap to connect to.....It must be running like krap, no?

It is just an exposed hole, thanks for the info, it is running fine though.

You can even just fit an oil/air separator (little black plastic tank) and vent the rest under the car rather than reburning the oil... not very environmentally friendly but depending on the age of your car (pre emissions?) its legal

In this pic you can see where the hose is supposed to join to the carby on the far left. The blue hose is blocked off with a bolt!
