Im trying to locate a 38/38 weber.
Im not really into Fords (no offense) I drive a suzuki sierra with a 1600 vitara motor with a 32/36 weber. Im wanting to upgrade but am hitting dead ends everywhere I turn. What did this carb come off besides capri, where would I find one? Ive spoke to the local Ford wrecker but they did know what it was off and my mates that are into Fords are into V8s so no luck there on info. Any help/input would be greatly apreciated. If there is a for sale section send me packing I couldnt find it. Nik |

Thanks for the reply, Ive seen the one you speak of but just wondering if there was other avenues you ford guys use. Ive tried the trading post etc thought there might have been somthing more specific within your community as we have with www.outerlimits4x4.com with the 4x4 community.
Thanks Nik |

The weber off XE Falcons is a pretty good carby & often used for upgrades, but I'm not sure it would be too large for a 1.6L engine

Post your reuest on this site as it it a bit more orientated towards older fords.
http://classicford.mine.nu/forum/default.asp Someone will have one but as mentioed earlier, they are fairly rare so you will probably pay up to about $300.00 for one. You can get them readily and much cheaper from ebay UK as they were fitted to pommy built capri V6's but posatage would hurt a bit. Alot of the aussie built capris had 40/40's so the 38's are not so common out here. |

Thanks heaps for the replies!!
I scored the one of ebay but will keep the other ideas in mind for my mates. Yep found it hard to find in oz but a few in UK. I think the 40 might be overkill!! The 38 should be an improvement over the 32/36. For anyone interested in performance tuning a weber click on for a great read.http://forums.off-road.com/engines/2...er-38dges.html I know its toyota specific but lots of great info. Nik |
