Question The great BA/BF parts on your EF/EL's Challenge

Right then,

Lets pick everyones brains. What BA,BF bits will fit right on a EF Falcon with little modification. Bolt on bits are a bonus. So I mean any bits at all. The wind screen wipers, seats, mirrors, any bit at all.
What bits can we fit on our EF/ELs from BA's BF's....

Not much at all I can tell you! Wipers, mirrors and seats won't fit without modification. They don't share an awful lot in common with the e-series, although you can put a BF starter motor on any e-series 6 cylinder, other than that, its really stuff all unless you enjoy modifying!

I'll be putting the BA ring and boot on mine as well after I steal one from the warranty bin... Just gotta make a new gear stick, this is where my industrial sized lathe comes into play

BA water pump will fit EF/EL, not EA. The part number for the water pump is AU28501KT. EA has a GWF-somethingorother part number, can't remember, haven't sold one for a while!

Yeah I'm going to make a custom shift stalk, because I'm tall I sit a fair way back so a straight stalk is no good, it has to be angled like the EA shifter. I'm going to make one with sort of an S bend in it so its vertical but is further back.

Oh I just remembered, if anyone wants a brand new BA steering wheel to experient with (just the rim, not the center) you can have one for $20! I have one sitting in the garage. It has a square mount not a splined one like the e-series had, but if you want something to modify....

BA side repeaters aren't the same I don't think as they're recessed into the body slightly, whereas the AU3 clear ones are not, they fit the e-series guard with only a little bit of filing of the hole...

Yeah buldge is nice, also if you have an EA it would be easier to put on BA repeaters as you could drill a hole where you want it and then just stick it on.

Does a badge count?....lol

Cool. Someone should do a tutorial on how to force some BA seats to fit an e series. Maybe make some custom mounts?

That was EFFalcon. He also modified a BA XT/Futura/Fairmont front bumper to suit his EF. Looks quite good!

I think the serpentine drive belt fits from BA to EF-EL.

No the drive belts are different. The pulleys and tensioners are in different positions, hence different belt length.
