I have just painted the 2 rear quarter panels, now should I also paint the front and rear passenger sidee doors as they are a majorly different red than the paint that I have just put on(Monza Red). The LHS of the car looks more of a blue type red than Monza Red which now that I have put a clearcoat on it looks much brighter and better than it was previously.
Pics are here Just go to the Worklog section.(If linky does not work let me know) Obviously it's not going to be perfect as I'm a "backyard amateur". And as I like to remind myself I can always sand it back and do it again. Any tips and/or HELPFUL comments would be greatly appreciated.. thanks. |

painting the whole car would be good, however i painted the 2 rear quarter panels with 2 cans of Monza Red and 1 can of Clearcoat , doing it that way i'm sure will look good, however won't it get a bit expensive??

that's what i used...
+day pics are there also, i probably should mention that i have not polished/buffed it yet as i need to wait until the clearcoat has hardened. also what's wrong with spraycans???? does anyone know where abouts(somewhere local to cheltenham VIC) that can mix auto paint to get Monza Red? I will not go to bunnings and get the metal paint tinted to monza red, it may look good in the beginning, however it just won't do. Last edited by brax; 30-09-2005 at 12:23 PM. Reason: update |
